All things considered, I'm not sure how big that fanbase is when it comes to UOR. Dragons never seems to grab the people in the same way Hulk and Rockit do.

Dragons also is now a nightmare of logistics and execution with the lockers and metal detectors.

Yea, the locker situation at DC is 100x worse than FJ, which is saying something.

Plus I'm sure JKR and WB aren't thrilled with the metal detectors

There hasn't been much great to say about DC from the metal detectors/lockers, to the theme quickly losing steam and of course losing the "dueling" aspect years ago. Now it's just smart logistics to look at the land mass that opens up if they just accept to move on.

Just for the sake of it, I decided just to do a rough size comparison between what Rich did with DC's plot to Diagon.

Taking slight liberties here and there, this would give a good size comparison between the two plots of land.

That still doesn't discredit the size of land potential for DC though, that's for sure.

The reality of the situation as well is that DC is nearly as large as Diagon is on its own. It has the possibility of being much more than one ride.

The expansion, in general; would give open chance for thematic upgrades for Hogsmeade/Hogwarts Express in General, alongside the expansion to occur.

It can be with the right design, but I feel like this could be the choice of two small- to mid-sized rides or one new grand ride with plenty of supporting themed space/shops/show area.

Ideally I'd add a family dark ride and another hyper themed coaster (personally pulling for a wing rider) but I believe it'll be a next gen all practical dark ride.

I'd consider that "much more than one ride". ;)

Honestly, as much as I love a good hyper themed coaster; I'll take the Next-Gen dark ride with a heavily themed forest area, that adds park capacity and an overall more immersive environment.

Great seeing some more noise on this! With the land available, I agree on "much more than one ride potential". Fantastic beasts paddocks perhaps (it they wanted a tie in but still stay with the rough time frame), a dark walk-though Shrieking Shack (I feel Knockturn Alley really adds that dark element to DA, I realize its not the same and there would be no shops, have howls, scratched up walls, scratching at doors, growls, etc..). Just tons of fun possibilities!

I can already see a roller coaster dropping under the arched roots. This Forbidden ride has to happen.

I could see a small portion on the edge being used for that purpose, but it would be a terrible ROI and waste of the space.

I've only ever ridden 4 B&M inverted coasters and I think Nemesis & Montu are both better coasters than Dragons Challenge. I never got to experience them in their prime, I was too short :(

Well, those are two of the best inverteds out there, so theres that. lol But while Fire and Ice were both good on their own, the dueling was the hook that took them over the top.
