Since I really don't have a intrest in seeing this film, I decided to browse around and came across a video going into detail of the film's pitch, leaked script etc. While I have to take some things with a grain of salt, it's all matching up with what has been revealed in the films pitch/trailer/toy fair etc.
If it's all true, then ouch. While the film has some nice ideas, however it also has a bunch of ideas which need good writing and jokes to successfully pull off...unfortunately this film doesn't have the writing or jokes to do so. It's a lame duck script that's simply a mess, it also compleately misses the point of what made certain scenes in the original funny.
