Why backlash? I just think it wouldn’t happen because FB is nowhere near as popular as HP

I don't think Universal even has the theme park rights for FB yet, so that all is kind of a moot point.

I just can't see a Fantastic Beasts ride ever showing up at the current resort. I think the franchise needs time to grow so Universal can judge if it's worthwhile building a ride around it. If it is worthwhile, it's a good anchor for the new park and keeps a nice balance between all 3 parks and 2 resorts.

Yep, I believe people forget that FB is in a different time period than the HP movies/books...I think we will see something in the 4th gate

I would imagine that universal didn’t sign for the rights for HP but more likely the rights for the HP “universe”, which would include FB. Especially considering that FB is mentioned in the HP books & films.

I don't think it will be, but UOR had a teaser that said "Get your wands ready!" on Facebook, which made me think it was a theme park announcement instead of just a movie trailer teaser.
