From Dusk Til Dawn is interesting. It's an IP I thought of mentioning after the fact on our most recent podcast which should be up soon.

I know Demon Cantina was loosely based on it, but it'd make for a good house.

What little I've seen of Dracula Untold suggests it's not a straight-up vampire movie; I don't think the two properties are as similar as, say, Cabin in the Woods and Evil Dead.

From Dusk Til Dawn does have the new series on El Rey, which is a Comcast-created channel. Especially given how HHN Hollywood really found new ground by tapping into the Latino community, I could see this happening.

I'm pretty skeptical of the Alien Vs Predator rumor. First, Disney has some sort of rights to the Alien franchise. Even if they were able to get the rights, wouldn't they do a house on Alien or Aliens? Not AVP which produced two terrible movies. An adaptation of the comic book or the video game would get me worried as Resident Evil was the worst house of last year.

Even if Disney has the rights to Alien, the rights to AVP is a whole 'nother story. Heck, due to that it makes perfect sense why they'd do AVP, to be able to feature the Xenomorphs without the house of mouse knocking on doors. An' to be blunt, so what if both AVP films were terrible? Just because an' IP was bad doesn't mean the house will. Dead Silence was a flop, yet the Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw house in 2007 turned out so good it's in a lot of people's top 10 favorite houses list.

Universal is no stranger to making a house based on a crappy movie. (See Doomsday and the house based on the awful C.H.U.D in 2008)

Besides it is going to be cheaper to have Predators in the house instead of just aliens. If they had Only aliens the would probably have to make more puppets or just have humans in the rooms.

But by adding predators they can make cheap costumes for the actors and have another alien presence besides the Aliens. seems like it is even a practical decision.
(They could have done a Predator house alone but my question is if they could do avp why not just do predator since it would be cheaper)

Ugh I can't even imagine the smell of burning walkers :ack: overall I'm officially kinda excited now, the fact that they are going all out on this one makes me pretty happy. Not going to be one giant room with 60 zombies in it but instead a complete season into one without no cut scenes. I'm also predicting the house will be 10 minutes long!!! That's pretty cool right?

I wish they had a room full of mannequins dressed as walkers and some actors in between in the dark. (maybe the tunnel) that would freak me out not knowing who the real person is

They utilized a similar concept for Dead Exposure. I don't think we'll see it for TWD though.

Ugh I hate when haunts do that because it gets me every single time!!! I had trouble in the circus of superstition and I couldn't even imagine going through insidious at hollywood. If they get one room with like 20 real walkers in it though I'd probably die, it would be kinda like a mini scare zone now that I think about it

Well the rumor mill keeps on buzzing, houses are still 5 IP's and 3 originals. The new thing that's going around is both ideas for the parade building are happening. "Crows" will be using the parade building, while From Dusk Til Dawn is replacing "Ritual".

If that's the case, I'll be a little bummed at the loss of "Ritual", but none the less I'm happy "Crows" is still happening.

the room in dead exposure made my friend cry lol. and it got me really bad too. Probably the scariest room Ive seen at HHN

They featured that element by Mel's last year. There was a pile of them burning where the Parade merch cart is now.

In other news: I went on Disaster yesterday and couldn't help but notice a clown arm dangling over the wall of the house in the queue. Just saying.
