Yeah we found out about the clowns last week. I definitely think that arm is a sign for something big (probably Jack) because who leaves a prop like that just hanging out? It's not a coincidence

Also, is there any speculation on if this is going to be across two parks? They seem to put less effort into the theming with each passing year, I remember when I went in 2005, that was fantastic! it was across two parks with totally unique themes in each area with loads to see, not just Zombies everywhere. I was disappointed to hear it’s the Walking Dead again, I hope at the very least they utilise both parks this time.. :)

Especially when it’s going to cost me $390 for two people!! even though I already have regular park admission via an Orlando Flex Plus ticket. (That’s for Frequent Fear + HHN Express). Seems like a right royal fleecing to me, there are no discount options for when you "already" have park admission...

I can definitely understand the WD fatigue, but I wouldn't be too concerned about it taking over the entire event this year. All the info that's been floating around regarding the streets this year suggest they will be a mix of scare zones rather than a single IP. As far as we've been told, the walkers will be confined to their (biggest ever) house this year.

The Good thing is that there WON'T be walkers all around the park so keep that in mind. They will not be using 2 parks again so sorry to burst

your bubble on that one.

we will probably never see a two park even again. with Rock it and now the Potter stuff, I don't think HHN will ever go back to Islands or do a two park thing.
this has been asked before, even to the guys that work in the event and the answer is always the same, not likely

Unfortunately I agree with this. With the new layouts of the park, I really don't see them being able to do anything HHN oriented at Islands again. There are too many properties at Islands that can't be used and unfortunately they are in all the entrances. Hogsmede, Suess, and Marvel can't be utilized. Toon Lagoon is incredibly difficult to do anything with because of all the water effects. The only place they can really do anything now is JP and that is all the way on the other side of the park from the Studios and who knows how much space there will be after Kong is done and the JP expansion.

Marvel can be used there's been many many scarezones in the area, its Suess and Hogsmeade that can't be used and are off limits to theming.

That was before Disney owned it, though. Would that still be possible now?

Universal still has Marvel because of contracts. The contracts have not changed. Disney certainly wouldn't sign a new contract that benefits Universal. So no, I don't believe it would be possible now.

Well Teebs, the contracts beforehand never forbade them from using the area as a scarezone, and since the contracts haven't changed, neithar has that. If they want to use the are again they can and will:

Here's of the zones in the area in the past:

Also it went further than that if memory serves correct. Marvel got upset with Uni for the first year at Islands where it was Super Villain Island saying that it depicted them in a bad light. I believe they already had most if not all of these characters represented in the park, so this was the one time that I know of that Marvel outright said no don't ever do that again. I'm sure Disney would be far more heavy handed than Marvel alone was back then.

I think the one that really got them was Carnage, which struck me as odd since he is pretty much the most evil insane character that Marvel ever created.

The house was themed to Carnage, but what really got them was the headless Spider-man corpse.

I think everyone over-romanticizes the idea of a dual-park event. There just aren't enough scare-actors to cover the amount of walking between both parks. The only way I see it working is as two more or less separately ticketed events, say 5 houses and 1 show in each park, but that would be a huge influx of support and scare staff.

That however still does not exclude them from using the area in the future for scarezones, which they proceeded to do up until 2005. Marvel was more than aware of that. If HHN is back in Islands I predict it will be a dual park scenario. The event will have to be huge at that point though. The labor involved in dual park is ridiculous.
