So what is the Blumhouse one supposed to be. A mashup of a bunch of Blumhouse production movies. If so that would be insane. Paranormal activity, Insidious, etc.
Hollywood has the same thing. Insidous again will be separate. But it's described as being a Mashup of films that can't be full on Mazes Blumhouse has done. So for Hollywood I have heard Purge and Get Out so far for the Mashup. Orlando will probably not use Purge but they will very likely use Get Out. Tons of films they can use like Sinister, Split, Oculus, Hush, PA Series, Ouija, and etc.

Bingo!

So I have heard the Thing from one source (And HHNVault was tweeting about it) and Blumhouse from Multiple of Sources. The Thing and The Walking Dead were both being considered to be the Replacement.

But what I believe is that Mike traded The Thing to Murdy for Blumhouse Mashup.

If they do The Thing (the John Carpenter original), I will be thrilled. The Shining and The Thing are my two favorite horror films and two of my favorite films in general, and I would selfishly be getting them both in one year. Not that I would be upset about the Blumhouse mashup, but that just doesn't have the same appeal to me personally.

Also, Id be curious to know why Mike and Murdy would need to trade IPs rather than sharing them. I always though they shared IPs more frequently nowadays because it made fiscal sense.

I've always considered the idea of Orlando doing Blumhouse and Insidious (a Blumhouse property) as separate things preposterous. It makes no business sense.

I agree with this, though I guess them doing this would be the IP equivalent of how they did Body Collectors and Run separate from the anniversary mashup house in 2015.

There was something earlier this year where someone said that the thing wasn't coming to HHN27. So it would go against that however Blumhouse make a lot of sense promotional wise.
