Hey guys I have a question here, is there a major difference between going on September rather than October like crowds, effects, houses’ quality? Planning to go earlier this year…

Casts usually will have found their groove more by October, but the houses will be in their best appearance shape in September as the wear and tear of the event & guests will not have taken a toll yet. Sometimes changes will be made throughout the event as well. It's not dramatic one way or another though. Crowds are the worst mid-October during Hell Week(s), but can also be a bit busy in the first weekend now as more and more fans tend to want the instant gratification of going ASAP (nowhere near as bad as Hell Week levels though). You'll have a great time either way.

Houses always evolve, better or worse, through the event.

Crowds get steadily larger throughout the event till before Halloween, then drop. September during the week is very doable.

Yhea, I went through depths in the midst of October and loved it, turns out it was the major changes they did to the designs of the scares. But I would definitely prefer less crowds during the pandemic than a missing prop or two…
