I agree completely. I also think it has to do with age as well, my first HHN was 18 and I was 19 years old. Horror and Haunted Houses/HHN hit me very differently now as a 31 year old and over 10 years of HHN. But I remember so vividly as an 18 y/o seeing the Bloody Mary billboards in Orlando and just being so creeped out and thinking "what a dark and cool event!" and I just don't ever see how now it could ever re-capture that feel 100% but I always want HHN to try so I am always rooting/cheering on the "darker elements" and any original story telling because that is what caught my interest in the first place.

It’s less about nostalgia and more about effort. Marketing barely tries to make the theming creepy and atmospheric, but maybe it’s because they don’t have to anymore.

What's the chance they recast most of the Puppet Theatre crew from the BTS video?

Everything will likely get recast.

From my understanding, most of the Tooth Fairy cast was pulled from Beetlejuice (specifically several Lydias). Bride and Beetlejuice was a hodgepodge of who was available. Puppet did a one day thing pulling in available bodies for the shoot. No house had its “true” cast. After a year, there’s going to be a not small percentage of the “true” casts that won’t be able to do the event again because life.

B79, from my understanding, got turned over to Tech Services a couple of years ago. Entertainment uses it for HHN, and Tech keeps the rest for storage/break space. 108 holds the parade now.

But both buildings can hold two houses, though.

What houses had masks that made appearances in the Puppet Theatre video? I’m wondering if I can see what kind of vibe the costume design will have in each house and I’m guessing someone here has analyzed that video and has guessed what mask goes with what house.

I think we could be getting Halloween 3 as the Eilish relacement (once again, gut feeling) but assuming it is replacing Eilish, could they have Halloween 3 chosen, designed, and costumes built by the time they filmed Puppet? It seems like too quick of a turnaround time. My guess is they must be for something else, tho idk what. But I see what you’re talking about and I agree, they look awfully similar.

They could easily have used the Trick or Treat masks, which are basically exact replicas. They also featured the masks in Halloween from 24, which for all I know might have BEEN ToT.

A lot of the masks in the mask shop are just old masks. Just because they were on the wall doesn’t mean they’re getting used.

New can really hold two? I thought the rest of it was completely filled up, and the house spot is the only available HHN space?
