I think the hand sanitizer is a good idea for the houses to try and prevent the HHN crud that many seem to get after going when the event opens. A lot of the procedures we have taken this winter has really done a number on the flu and common colds, so maybe it would be a good practice to have in general if SIF is brought back.

Wouldn't mind though if they use better sanitizer. The current stuff starts to feel really gross and dry after a full day of rides

Thinking of it as Carey, OH but someone put a giant blood S in front of Carey. That's how I'm imagining it.

There's a good chance you won't have to imagine it once the full logo is revealed as well. Plus, the full title is much more appealing.

Considering we know this thing spreads via the air not surfaces I'm actually kinda amazed they're still doing the mandatory handi sandi.

Honestly it’s just good practice to keep everyone healthy. Theme parks aren’t exactly the healthiest of places

So looks like they are still limiting hotel reservations in September/October. Dockside, Surfside, and Portofino are no longer available during my dates. Went ahead and booked to be safe.

So I have noticed that a lot of people are not a fan of the Beetlejuice facade and are hoping it gets plussed. I always thought it was weird for the queue to wrap around in the house itself and takes a decent amount of room. Was this always the way the facade was meant to be or was it supposed to be the house since it's featured on the merch?

While I'm a little late to this talk, I'd also love to see Asylum in Wonderland return. I'm probably biased since it was my first ever house, but even looking back at it, it was such a great house. AiW and Krampus are still the two best comedy houses I've done, perfectly blending that more silly/lighthearted side of HHN while still staying as a genuinely frightening house.

The house was completed in August, so the facade that’s there was planned.
The reason it wraps the way it does is because guests have to climb a fairly long ramp in order to access the vortex tunnel.

This might be a stupid question, but why did they keep working on the houses after the event got cancelled? Did they just say let's finish them just in case?

Is it them expecting a tourism boom once shots are more widely available?

I'm certain it's this, given we're experiencing a tourist boom without the shots being distributed widely to theme park demos. Word around town is Universal regrets its second round of layoffs--parks need those TMs back--while Disney has quietly geared up its rehiring (as its parks are at capacity much of March for all but APs, and coasters now seat every row).

If HHN added extra nights, it's because the bean-counters expect tickets to sell. End of story.

Because the contracts were paid, they were hopeful they could still open something, and when you’re almost done and know you’re just going to use it the following year, it’s smarter to just finish it.

I’ve recently been playing the game Alice Madness returns (great game) they’re also making a new one. So I would love to see this. There’s only one walk through I’ve found online, I’m jealous of anyone who got to experience it.

Only regrets I've heard/seen is the VB closure and getting back lifeguards....
