I didn't experience much of the lines from last year since I only did the RIP tour, but I expect that the lines at the big pop up bars would be longer since those are the only ones with draft beer.

Was draft beer as rare last year as it looks like it is this year? I only saw it at the Weeknd themed bar, and I think one other near Fear Factor. Also looked like the only places you actually got a discount with your blinky cup

It wasn't at every location last year either. But there are other locations you didnt mention (Lombards, Transformers Bar, and then the usual Finnegans and Duff Gardens that I do believe will give you a discount and fill your souvineer cup).

Dumb question, but have we had S&S locations confirmed yet? I know it’s probably going to just be Finn’s and Springfield but I haven’t been able to find anything official.

Not dumb at all, but I don't recall the actual locations ever being officially released before opening night. Maybe the first year they used Diagon, but when they quit using it 2 years later no announcement. Your predictions are no doubt right, but once in there Friday I'd see how things look.

Yeah no announcements, subject to change, etc. Central Park/Springfield and NY are always a lock, others are more hit or miss.

Chez Alcatraz also (my go to place). The Fountain of Fair Fortune in Diagon Alley is open during the event but I don't think they do the souvenir cups.

For planners out there, looks like Halloween S&S is 5:30 and Weeknd S&S is 5:45.

No idea what exactly happened with the Springfield Stay and Scream, which looked gnarly from Twitter reports, but apparently both Weeknd and Monsters don't have particularly long lines at the moment. (How is that possible? Beats me. Maybe slow/inexperienced HHN ticket scanners making the Springfield crowd looking larger than it was.)

I’m about to enter Weeknd and the S&S line looked daunting but really wasn’t bad. It moved very fast. I’d assume it’s because we have more S&S queues than usual this year so people can spread out? Not sure.

Tbh it seems like a lot of people S&S'd near the soundstages tonight, seemed like Halloween's line blew up a lot faster than Weeknds. I can't imagine that'll last in the next few weeks though.

Bugs might be a rough one this year if the delays I’m currently experiencing are due to scared guests. I got in line 30 min ago and it was a posted 5. 10 min later, it was bumped to a 30. Now, it’s a 90 and I haven’t moved in almost 10 min. The express line hasn’t been heavy either. Never experienced something like this in my 13 years of going.

How confident are we that it's a "scared guest" thing and not just a "poor operations/growing pains" thing?

The line length itself wasn’t bad at all and express hasn’t been heavy. Looks like the line in the house entrance is barely moving too. Can’t say for certain though. Getting close to the facade finally though.

I'm wondering if there was a guest incident inside (i.e. someone fell or had a full-on panic attack) that took some time to resolve. Definitely a thing to watch over the next few days, however, so thank you for reporting in.

Due to an unexpected turn of events I’ll most likely not be able to attend this year, however, I am considering the possibility of a day time tour. So does anyone know anything about the accessibility limits??

I cannot seem to find them anywhere and I know last year (and I’m sure this year too) at the houses you needed to transfer to a wheelchair in order to go through the houses, and while I’m assuming it’d be the same during the day I’d need it guaranteed that there would be a wheelchair readily available at each house during the day.

Having to be vigilant about accessibility is still pretty new to me so apologies if this info should be common knowledge.

From my tour last year, there was someone in our group who needed the use of an ECV/Wheelchair, and I do recall our guide was really good at making sure there was a wheelchair for the houses and making sure the ECV was waiting in the right spot afterwards. I also remember seeing plenty of extra wheelchairs around for that purpose, too.

To add to the thoughts, I've been seeing multiple reports recently that there is an aspect of ops/growing pains, as apparently the merge point has been a total nightmare, including just letting both standby and express just funnel together without stopping either one.

For those who used S&S last night, I’m interested to hear about your experience - where did you go, what house first, how busy the area was and wait times (wait for a beer if you were at Finns/Duff). TIA

I can give my rough night rundown. I did Central Park/Simpsons S&S. Arrived around 4:15 and the line was wrapped all the way to Sting Alley. By 4:25, I was already in line for The Weeknd side's corral by Animal Actors. It was definitely busy, but not as bad as it looked. They let us into the queue at 5:33 and the house opened very shortly after that. Posted wait when it opened was 40 min IIRC. These are the times I entered each house last night (with no express):

The Weeknd: 5:55 PM
DoD: 6:18 PM
Bugs: 7:06 PM
Hellblock: 7:32 PM
Coven: 8:15 PM
Fiesta: 9:07 PM
Dead Man's Pier: 10:15 PM
Halloween: 11:42 PM
Monsters: 12:33 AM
Blumhouse: 1:09 AM
Dead Man's Pier (Round 2): 1:36 AM

Hellblock had the shortest waits I saw all night & Halloween consistently held the highest.

We did NY. Felt like all my friends were at Springfield. We went to Halloween and they released probably around 515? I don’t think we ended up getting in until closer to 540 due to our location in line and all the express people. When we got out, we chose to go to Coven which may have been a mistake. That took about 20 minutes, put us at 603. Rushed over to Pier/Chup posted at I think 30/45? We hopped into Pier since there were people in A I wanted to see. That line crawled so we missed that cast and the Chup line cleared out. When we got out we did Chup, but that was at about 7pm. At that point I was starving so we took a break and ate…had to leave early so just casual houses after that.
