January 11th... hopefullyHope we get something soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get nothing for the first half of next year.

They literally did that last year lolMaybe I'm crazy and terribly wrong, but I couldn't imagine not getting a single HHN house announced before May.
(Yes, I'm aware they used to announce everything at once a month before opening, I get it)
I mean, technically not lolThey literally did that last year lol
Nah paramount going to keep it hostage sadly.So….now that Scream 7 has gone down in flames, maybe Paramount will be more willing to play ball for HHN? I know I’m probably being too optimistic here.

If we lose the tent layout, it will be a detriment to the event. Most of my favorite houses have come from these two areas.I think this is a good question,
If the sprung tents do get replaced, do you think they would mimic a SoundStage/Parade Building like structure?
Or since the tents are iconic for there cramped layouts, would they try to replicate that in a low roofed building with a bigger lifespan?
Personally, the tents continue to prove their worth every single year and if they are to do rid with them, I’m sure I and others would be pretty upset.

At least in my foresight, it has to do with venue constraints and how the sprung tents are designed. Which is a good thing for the tents because the cramped spaces of the venue often lead to A&D taking advantage of that in almost every house that has been there these last handful of years.Other than the fond memories of the houses of yesteryear, why does it matter if the tents rumor is true?
I will defend Depths of Fear till the day I dieThere is something to those Sprung Tents. I also find that I enjoy those houses quite a bit more than the Soundstages or B108 with their almost boundless space.
I will say though that given the same logic, MiB and Shrek also had constraints and limitations that I don't think always worked out in their favors. You could even argue FnF Tent has a similar intimate and small scale too. While I liked The Black Phone a lot back in HHN31, I also think Freaky and Chucky were pretty dumpy personally.
I think it's really all in the execution. Case Files, Black Phone, and Slaughter Sinema were all wonderful S-Tier houses imo, but those same locations brought us Saw 2017, Chucky: UKC, and Depths of Fear. A good house can come from anywhere, and so can a bad one.
Counterpoint to that last counterpoint: I tried looking for a comparison example for Sprung Tent 1 and uhhhh... I couldn't find a bad one haha. I guess it's really all been bangers over there at Sprung 1 after all! Maybe just don't get rid of that one!
