Halloween Horror Nights 34 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors

Doubt they would ever do this, but I'd love a house that is inspired by former/current roadside attractions throughout US 192/I-Drive.

Is there a wish list for this year?
I definitely would want to explore this idea!

Wait, they actually let people get married at Horror Nights that isn't part of some contest? (I know they had the wedding contest in 2010 and the lucky couple got married on the steps of the Wyandott Estate.) Ok then... *Scribbles get married at HHN on The Bucket List.* Fat lot of good it'll do me but it never hurts to hope.

To be fair - we were able to do this because of our aforementioned friendship with some of the A&D folks. This was not technically sanctioned by Universal. Sorry to crap on your bucket list.

Getting back to actual spec… I know sometimes the coasts borrow houses from each other. We had Monstrous last year. They had Dead Exposure. So what Hollywood houses could we possibly see? If I remember right, Pandora’s Box was a rumor a few years ago. I would love to see a Holidayz in Hell type of house. What are others we could use?

Because I'm a completionist, and because I'm still miffed that we still haven't gotten Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman, I'm over here hoping for Monstrous 2.

Tangentially related, and I'm certainly not endorsing or encouraging this, but there's an online rabbit hole about "guerilla Disney weddings." It's disturbingly deep and detailed--and apparently enough of an issue that WDW security gets trained on it.

As a far more ethical back-up, I'm sure you could rent the chapel in Mortem Manor at a very reasonable rate.

And I thought I was crazy about Universal, but there's no way I'd ever go that far. Besides, I'm sure something like that would take far too much work to pull off for me to bother. Maybe that's part of the reason I'm still single? XD

this is also something they talked about during my in-field training at the hungry bear at disneyland. the biggest concerns for the, at the time, very quiet lower deck of the hungry bear were:

1. teenagers smoking
2. teenagers making out
3. grown-ass people getting secretly married
4. ash dumping

what a beautiful culture.

A lot of people liked Monstruous 2 less, but I thought it was (also) great. El Cucuy is a very effective monster, and the hands coming out from the bed effect is one of those amazing HHN memories you don't forget.

The Christmas spec map for Hollywood has a Santa with a popcorn bucket at the T-Pad, which seems like a possible nod to a Hollywood version of Slaughter Sinema. That, to me, feels like the perfect Orlando concept to lift: use the same lobby scene but then come up with your own fake movies.

I have been pushing with every fiber of my being to manifest a Vanity Ball sequel house or a house to follow up on the noir portion of the 2023 Tribute Store for a while now , but I really dig that Monstruos has it's own fan base too and wouldn't be all that upset to see more of it.

Heck, you could make a "The Monsters of _______" for almost anywhere in the world and carry on that series for a loooooong time.

Whether any of that is realistic for this year or if Mike & the team have a backlog of original premises that they've been itching to work through is anyone's guess.

Wasn't this essentially what the Dungeon of Terror reboot was intended to be in 2006?

I loved Monstrous in Hollywood, but I agree that Orlando's didn't hit the same way. I still enjoyed it, though!

Glad I'm not alone. Besides the El Silbon sequence, Monstruos was very disappointing to me, and I love cryptid houses.

I loved Monstrous in Hollywood, but I agree that Orlando's didn't hit the same way. I still enjoyed it, though!

After I did the UTH tour and saw the sets more in-depth, my appreciation definitely grew for it. Not as good as the OG but still a really solid and detailed house that was really fun. That ending animatronic was AWFUL tho.
