Holidayz in Hell would be great to see how Orlando adapts the ideas and concepts Murdy did.

Except they more or less did that already with HHN21's Holidays of Horror house.

Time flies differently--and I think a different take would work as long as the variety is handled well (alongside changing the venue to allow larger scenic pieces if it was in a new tent or a soundstage).

The movie is doing something different, which may even work better for a house.
It's not based off the game, not entirely; Conceptually, it's off-the-mark, but on purpose.
It looks like they're going Cabin in the Woods in terms of variety, but that's what would make it work as a house.

While of course Universal is unlikely to touch the Scream IP itself anytime soon, that doesn't mean they couldn't do a Ghostface original. What do I mean by that? The Ghostface mask is owned by Fun World and not attached to the Scream IP for licensing.

Dead by Daylight did the exact same thing, Ghostface is in the game but as BHVR's own original character with his own story, not attached to Scream. Universal could theoretically do the same thing if they wanted to.

Not saying it'll happen this year, but just putting it out there.

This discussion has come up before but iirc the main issue is that many of the iconic elements of Scream (the voice, the scary movie obsession, the movie scenes) come from the movies, and it'd be weird to not have that.

It's notable that when Mortal Kombat did a Ghostface, they went through the effort to obtain the Scream license as well so that they could have the Roger Jackson voice.

Maybe a hot take but I don’t think the drama is nearly as big a deal outside of some social media circles as some think it is.

Specifically I don’t think a house based on the first film would receive much pushback at all.

It’s been 12 years. I fully trust Aiello and Co. to make it different enough. Whether it’s a direct sequel with some different holidays as you mentioned (which would be tough since they used so many the previous edition), or since it was so Bloodengutz and Lady Luck heavy, they could use the same holidays in different formats.

I had a similar idea with doing an original take on Five Nights at Freddy’s like a Schittie’s Kidz spinoff house. Quite a few people pointed out that too many people would probably compare it to the IP. In that case, probably wouldn’t be as well received.

just adapt that Nic Cage movie Willy's Wonderland. I mean, universal could contact that studio. and Willy's Wonderland is really gory and violent which fits hhn more.
five nights at Freddy's is still seen as a childish property by a lot of people and it's regarded as too friendly. but Willy's Wonderland is pretty brutal. it's really violent. it would fit hhn
