Honestly, I'm perfectly fine with this. The film is fine and all, but once again not everything needs to be at HHN, especially when things get awkward/icky with just even a brief context.

I guarantee we will see guests dressed like her over and over night after night

Not sure who the Twitter poster is, but Nikki from Obsession was just revealed to be a roaming character at Hollywood. Not sure if connected to this, or what the relevance is to Orlando though (if any)

I mean, I think there is a major difference between people being like "Huh? What? How's that even supposed to work?", and/or, "Gee, I hope they've thought through the types of abuse the actress(es) may be subject to if they don't execute this carefully" and "this is automatically problematic and Universal should be shamed for thinking it was a good idea."

I'm in the two former camps, and I think it's telling that the general pop culture media machine is taking that tact, too.

How's that even supposed to work?", and/or, "Gee, I hope they've thought through the types of abuse the actress(es) may be subject to if they don't execute this carefully" and "this is automatically problematic and Universal should be shamed for thinking it was a good idea."

I think there's one more camp, which is that featuring the character could result in flattening the character. I appreciated there was more to the movie than "oh man she's weird," but I feel like that's all you could really do with that character at HHN. We'll see how it's handled though.

This is typical for this kind of media though. I'm certain they didn't expect Obsession to be the hit that it was... Now they're scrambling to cash in on the characters/world, likely at any cost to the integrity of the IP. Only a matter of time before we get Obsession X: Freaky Nicki Goes To Space.

Agreed fully. I’m also in the 2 former camps, but not the 3rd. I don’t disagree that the character herself is tragic and that’s the point of the film, but unless there’s a storyteller following her around explaining how she’s been abused mentally and describing the implications of Bear actually being the villain and explaining consent…. I don’t think it’s a problem. If that was the case, the Shining should’ve been a BIG problem, but it wasn’t, because HHN is here just to bring pop culture and horror media to life in a very face value way, and that’s honestly how it should be. The deeper meanings and implications is for the viewer to watch and determine in their own time, outside the event.

maybe if the backlash gets so big then universal has to cancel this idea. maybe for the safety of the actress they might cancel the appearance ironically enough.

Was kinda hoping they'd change up (or expand on) the alien vibe for Aventura since it has been the same for a couple years now, but it DOES suit the vibe at Aventura and it does always look cute. Not mad. Would love to see a lil more to it though after the past couple years haha

Kind of curious when Obession content will hit the parks.

There's obviously HHN. This is almost guaranteed to get a house at HHN next year. Nikki (and Wish Nikki) as a character(s) has become a sensation and has really resonated with people. So bringing her to "life" is going to drive people mad.

One Wish Willow is a super hot item right now and WILL sell out at an event. Though, with how Obession is behaving more like GA crowd pleaser than a typical horror movie, I wonder if they'd be willing to sell One Wish Willow outside of...
