Wanted to post an intro thread. Long-time lurker of these boards but figured it was time to join, because there just seems to be so much new stuff happening!
Little about me: I was born in SoCal and spent most of my life in the Pasadena area. My parents were proto theme park adults, especially my dad. We spent a lot of time at Disney and Universal (and occasionally Knott's). Now I'm the theme park adult, although I'm not in the parks nearly as often as I used to be. I went to the University of Oregon and have always loved the PNW. Had a job opportunity come my way a few years back so I moved back up to Oregon with my wife, and we started a family.
Now I live vicariously through you guys and take trips whenever I can! I've always been way more of a Universal guy than Disney but love both. I'm down in LA often and pop into one of the parks if I've got the time. I'm there almost every September or October for OBB and HHN, and will definitely make it down for Hollywood Drift when it's open. We recently returned from an incredible trip to Universal Orlando to visit Epic Universe for the first time, crazy to think they're already expanding. Also spent some time mourning my dearly departed Rip Ride Rockit and getting super excited about the new coaster coming there! All of this new stuff got me excited to join up here and stay close to the news.
Anyway, outside of theme parks, I'm into movies and TV, the NBA and college sports (Go Ducks), hiking and outdoors stuff, and hanging out with my wife and kiddo.
