Orlando might NOT have 9 houses this year, due to the loss of the Earthquake queue. Granted they still have other locations they can use if approved (MIB overflow, ET overflow, another soundstage (although 4 are already pushing it when it comes to entrance/exit routes). In an interesting tweet from Aiello, it seems Orlando will be getting an original house this year (which means an IP on the line-up fell through... my guess.. Ash vs ED, which I didn't expect to happen due to Universal/Army of Darkness).

If Murdy wants the event here to be as big as Orlando, he needs to try harder & also stop relying on the same gimmicks. And the event also needs a bigger budget... otherwise we're going to continue to see plain black walls (Murdy's favorite part of mazes) & themed construction walls (that was lazy for Halloween Murdy, that was lazy) for scenic. Our event could easily have "more" if they tried, but they don't. Of course now the problem with the event here is the park is evolving & unlike Orlando, we don't have other places to shift mazes to for HHN.

In regards to doing a maze in the Frankenstein garage again, it will never happen due to safety regulations. I'll be at the park tomorrow so I'll try to grab a better pic or two of the JP queue construction

What gimmicks are you talking about?

Wesker can you elaborate on your statement. You seem to be insinuating that Orlando was supposed to have an all ip lineup, when it's been known for a while there would be originals, we know there at least two right now, so I don't know what information you heard

Is he implying some of the traits that USH has had for its HHN in the past in re-using old traits that may not really be the best idea at times..? (I'm referring to Black Hallways, Overly-reusing some of the old props, E.T.C.)

Not necessarily Hollywood, but did you all see the Norman Bates gif that Orlando's HHN twitter posted? And then Aiello came around to tell everyone that marketing tweeted it not him? My heart essentially got ripped out of my chest and stomped on. (Unless he was trying to cover up? I don't know. I'm too invested in Hitchcock to think rationally about it.)

I feel like HHN's biggest weakness isn't the mazes but the scare zones. Look at what Orlando does, they deck the hole place out and keep it in theme. We just get mannequins and a van.

Thank you! Our HHN has so little imagination with scare zones. I do think they've improved since 2014, but there needs to be more atmosphere. Use digital mapping on the buildings. Use more props than just a car and a ton of mannequins.

I'm referring to some of the things that USH hasn't really done right with HHN that Wesker may be referring to. As with some of the mazes, there are constant uses of Black walls; at times, Reused props and other things.

Best not to describe "traits" with "traits"

Speaking to John on Twitter, as he confirms the loss of two plots. Both the 28 plot and another plot that he loves isn't going to be used (i'll take a crack and guess Persian Courtyard got the axe of maze locations, but we'll see).

^ He also confirmed new locations... hmmm..

If I were to guess: 4 backlot, 2 lower lot, 1 upper lot (TWDA).

It makes sense to me also of one thing, that the Backlot may finally get the expansion that it needs of space.

He says he lost it yesterday, so that could mean we lost one of the planned houses, or next year one of the locations won't be used again. I hope it's the latter because who likes to lose houses, if this scenario is true I'd say we won't be going around ancient Egypt next year

^ He confirmed we didn't lose a house. Most likely the location of the maze will be moved. This could turn out to be a pretty good thing.

*waves hi* I'm still tired... BUT I did get a pic of the JP tent while at the park yesterday. I will post it later tonight.

While heading down the Starway, I ended up taking the middle escalator for the long journey instead of the one on the right so I could get a pic of the Mummy area (I was distracted singing along to "I Want Candy" from "HOP" ), but from what I could tell, no movement has been made in regards to construction yet... and as Murdy said, that will be "Exorcist".

As for the loss of a maze location. Ouch. I'm curious to find out what location that would be. Honestly... Only 3 locations come to mind that would potentially be affected by something, whether its park related or studio related. The 3 that I'm guessing- Parisian Courtyard, Mummy, or SS747.

As for new locations... I still say they need to find a way to work with Waterworld... because that location was used in the past & I say it can be used again. Murdy likes to claim it can't be done due to Waterworld being popular... I call BS. Why?... Many years of HHN Orlando.. B&T is (and always will be) a very popular show, it was next to The Jaws Ride, between these two was a house located in the overflow queue of JAWS. The houses there would dump out of the normal ride entrance.. So you had a ride, house, & show all next to each other.

Since Waterworld is NOT performing during HHN (nor is the theatre used at night), I don't see why they can't make it work with careful planning. There is plenty of queue space for Waterworld & it can easily be reworked. I can't find anything on "Creature From the Black Lagoon: Monsterquarium" maze that they had there in 1997. Wish there were pics from back then.

You've got the current dining area that is formerly the Gibson entrance that could be used, which we've pointed out already. Even just after being at the park yesterday, there really isn't space to expand the event without obtaining new backlot locations OR acquiring another SS or two.

I have a feeling that its Persian, and that they're going to expand the current size of how they can use the Backlot to that parking lot behind the left side of Courthouse Square.

Would be pretty fitting if they announced FvJ tomorrow, haha. Happy Friday the 13th tomorrow!

Unfortunately... that won't happen according to Murdy. The other day on twitter he said that our next maze announcement won't happen until AFTER TWD attraction opens. <_<  And it will be the maze codenamed "Wisconsin" located in the JPRA queue.

Considering TWD attraction doesn't open until next month, I don't see why we couldn't announce another maze now. Hopefully marketing goes over his head & announces FvsJ tomorrow.

So 7 houses huh. I'd say 2 upper 2 lower and 3 backlot. R u guys sure he doesn't just mean he found out he's going to lose a location for next year.

if we are losing one of the planned locations for this year I'd rule out mummy since murdy already announced it being used and if that changed he would have already said it. My vote would be on Parisian, even though I have no idea what they would do there instead, or what so urgently needed to be put there

Ya know... I could see that happening... Who knows, we might see a surprise. Best Friday the 13th in that case then haha.
