What's the latest a maze has started construction? I feel like there should be more of a construction push by this point in time to make the deadline...

Possibly Krampus, especially in the "outside" scenes. Or Conjuring as well.

Is that really enough space for a decent maze? I assume all of the queue poles are removable?

More than enough room in the WaterWorld queue. Think on the scale of the mazes that used to be in T2, those were decent sized.

Last year This Is The End was very late to start construction. I had gone to Universal at the end of July last year to film construction and all it had was the maze outline on the floor. So it's construction probably didn't start until early August. So a maze starting construction this much later than the other mazes is still feasible

To be fair, TitE was a VERY bare-bones house that didn't have a whole lot to set up. Plus, it was total crap. They probably have all of the sets and props built off-site.

Are we able to see if the maze on the FDTD plot looks like it could be a "mega house"? Or does it look about the same size as everything else?

Finally got around to seeing Purge: Election year, and while a disappointment there are a hell of a lot of fun scenarios to play with for a scare zone, especially one that leads to the backlot mazes.

Hopefully they do this right.

HorrorBuzz posted a quick update today.. Shows that the Metro set maze is starting to receive Windows on the facade.. Those windows also happen to match the pattern as those on the Krampus house, as if we needed any more confirmation. ;)

HHN Update (For the week):

- Windows have appeared in the facade for the Metro Sets

- The Waterworld Queue has been blocked off meaning construction for a maze has started in that area

- Someone asked Murdy if any announcements would be coming this week and Murdy replied saying "No...dragging it out till next week..."

- Facade Work has begun for "The Exorcist"

I'm curious if all IP's were set in stone or if the WaterWorld maze location IP got changed last minute? Hence why it's starting so late compared to the rest of the mazes.

While the line ups that have been mentioned sound great! I wouldn't mind seeing The Conjuring maze get dropped in favor of a different IP like Texas Chainsaw.

With Exorcist already in place, Cojuring seems a bit redundant.

^ I could see a GREAT maze being based off of solely The Conjuring 2, especially with the nun, Crooked Man, and Winkins. SO much maze material, if Murdy wanted to he could drag it out between Parts 1 & 2, but I do see where you're coming from with Conjuring (Pt. 1) overlapping themes with Exorcist.

I also believe Murdy confirmed no iterations of Texas Chainsaw coming this year.

The thing I'm not getting is this... Looking at all the Ips they all seem very legit with Shared IPs (Announced: "The Exorcist", "Halloween Hell Comes To Haddonfield" Rumored: "Krampus", "American Horror Story") and the Exclusive IPs (Rumored: "Freddy Vs Jason). If "Freddy Vs Jason" is our next announcement (being next week) then what maze that is exclusive will be announced at Scarela? If this rumor is true and that "The Texa Chainsaw Massacre" is coming to event instead of "The Conjuring" then the Scarela Maze announcement will be very weird. They probably won't announce any scare zones or just the Terror Tram at Scarela. So if everything else other than "Freddy Vs Jason" is a shared IP than the Scarela Maze announcement will be weird and ask questions like "Why didn't they announce earlier this year when Orlando announced their maze". People are going to notice and unless they pull June 21st announcement and talk about everything that they have announced so far or announce new logo I just don't see "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" coming this year. Unless the IP they will be announced at Scarela that isn't a shared IP and is a different exclusive that we don't know of that isn't "The Conjuring" or it could "The Conjuring".

Interesting, they're still questioning whether there will be a maze in French Courtyard. I thought that was a confirmed negative. I'm guessing they can't use that area for a maze because Universal Plaza, which is usually used for the queue for the French Courtyard maze, will be used instead for the overflow queue for Walking Dead.

^ Murdy has already confirmed Parisian Courtyard is no longer a maze location.
