New update from HorrorBuzz! Some of these facades are starting to look really great and detailed. Small mistake though that they're saying the FDTD plot is TCM when it was confirmed to be in Waterworld. Is it just me or do the mazes this year seem to be further along in completion compared to this time last year? http://horrorbuzz.com/universal-studios-hollywood-hhn-tracker-8/

Honestly, I think it does, considering last year, they were still adding set pieces to both the interiors and exteriors of the mazes, not only during the week of opening night, but even after the Wednesday Employee Preview Night, there were still props that hadn't been set up until Thursday and hours before opening time on Friday. I'm honestly getting excited for September, when they start dressing up the Terror Tram sets and scare zones!

John says they're gonna drop an announcement at the end of the ScareLA panel on Sunday. Not a maze, but something cool we can experience. A lot of people are saying terror tram but I don't think they'd shoehorn that announcement into the end of a panel where John can't really talk on it. My guess is probably Jabbawockeez. 


Edit: someone just said "better not be Jabbawockeez" and John told them that it's horror themed. So maybe Academy of Villains?

I wouldn't be shocked if the announcement ties into Krampus in some fashion (Aka, I think Dark Christmas is being moved to the Backlot). It can be either that, or they announce that rumored Classic Monsters scarezone.

Murdy is having a tweet-fest again. Said Scarezones will be announced all at once, SOON. So I am thinking that'll be tomorrow's announcement.

I think Murdy is going to have one last year..and i think Mike and Murdy are going to try to get King and Trick R Treat to the event.


Those are the only ones i can imagine being on the levels of Exorcist in catching a Moby Dick. And, considering that IT is coming out next year; and possibly Trick R Treat's sequel, it makes sense.

• In 2015, John and Chris we're originally going to do a Dark Christmas house but with talking to Legendary, plans shifted.
  
• Krampus will be on the roof of the facade
  
• The delivery Man from Krampus to be tied to the twitter password
  
• Delivery Man to give you a retro Krampus postcard
  
• Maze to be set after the events of Krampus entering the house
  
• Krampus to be accompanied by the Dark Elves and the Jack in the Box
  
• Gingerbread Men will be in the maze
  
• The Exorcist has been an IP that John has been trying to get for eleven years
  
• The Exorcist's Banned Trailer scared Chris and John (to the point for John that it inspired a lot of his interest in the genre to begin with)
  
• The Banned Trailer to be much of what inspired the maze itself for USH's iteration
  
• The Exorcist to have very much unconventional scenes, that aren't the typical HHN scare's
  
• The Pea Soup, Levitation and 180 degree head turn effects to be featured in The Exorcist

For those wanting to know what the hell that means, at Universal Orlando Resort in Halloween Horror Nights 23; they had the entire theme park engulfed in The Walking Dead; classifying it as a "Street Experience".

...The Upper Lot, Lower Lot and Metro Sets will be entirely engulfed within Purge for this year. Although, it sounds like the Terror Tram won't be themed to the Purge so..silver lining?
