Few quick shots.  Wall structures are starting.  Plus, there's a stairway from roof of shorter portion of building to taller portion.

Its was there when I went a few weeks ago. The only reason I noticed it was because... I crashed into it.

Anyways a small update from @ORLParkPass on Twitter. That entrance pathway is pretty cramped, like a few other members have mentioned hopefully this is a sign Cartooniversal is leaving.

A video update from InTheLoop. You can already get a glimpse at what the exterior will look like. Not surprising, looks very Art Deco inspired.

I've heard from a few people now that part of this new building will be used to somewhat appease the fans of the old HoH (although it could piss a few people off). So something horror related is very possibly coming to this area just in a smaller way.

It depends on how you want to piss a few people off, would it be a small tribute of the monsters just put in the back of a new NBCUniversal Experience location, especially if they're going to the CSI soundstages..

Unfortunately, that's not what I've heard. Take this with a grain of salt, obviously, but I've heard rumors of something Walking Dead coming to the back section of the building.

Honestly... I wouldn't be surprised. Orlando sells TWD merchandise year round over in the T23D giftshop, among other NON-Terminator/T23D things. They even have Star Wars stuff... because sure, why not.  So the rumor of TWD stuff being sold is not that far fetched (unfortunately).

The Walking Dead merchandise is already sold in the park in Production Central.

From what I've heard there is an "attraction" coming to the building. Obviously not a ride. But they are calling it an attraction none-the-less.

I rarely ever go into the giftshops, but Production Central would seem like the location for stuff like that. Doesn't surprise they sell TWD stuff in there.

An attraction?... the only thing that would come to mind would be the impending "Hello Kitty" meet-n-greet. Orlando is putting Hello Kitty into the soon-to-be former Lucy tribute/random merch giftshop at the front of the park. So its possible Hello Kitty could part of this HoH replacement, but part of me expects it to go elsewhere.

...For now, I doubt a Nintendo Arcade. But, it could be plausible for when Nintendo (possibly) comes for Universal Hollywood. It all just matters on what Orlando does.

Honestly, I wouldn't rely on what Orlando does, they do have more land to work with than Hollywood does... until more SS are removed. It would be nice if Comcast would think outside of the box for new additions rather than clone everything. Create a new ride/attraction that is exclusive to each Universal park, but that is a discussion for another time/place...

I would love to see Universal light a fire under their butts with this new replacement and get it done sooner rather than later. It obviously won't happen, but could you imagine how great it would've been to have this done in time for HHN? ....oh well, at least it "should" be done in time for the holiday season.

Guys...guys....I'm pretty sure we're getting a clone of the Carthay Circle Theatre as a replacement for HoH, cuz the Internet said so!

An "attraction", eh? I suppose it will be more of a museum. Maybe or maybe not accompanied by a mini-walk thru, say three minutes tops, of House of Horrors but with static figures popping out instead of live actors? That's what I would like to see.

If most of this new addition ends up being an updated and upgraded version of the Universal Experience museum...CALLED IT!!! I'd be ecstatic. Making it an expanded Studio Store + Museum would be so fantastic!

This new building is ginormous. Even once the scaffolding & walls come down, there really isn't going to be much pathway space. Its so close the the Universal Plaza too, which is a shame because it kinda ruins the entrance view since it kinda blocks it a little. I'm curious to see what they do with the other center & cartooniversal side.

I wonder if they will get rid of the wait times board and the coffee stand to widen the walkway. They could then move the board into the plaza or near it. (Plaza will probably be Harry Potter extended queue on busy days)
