Ok, but that's a lie. The attraction closed and is a thing of the past. Was it that hard to simply not include a box on the right side of the map where the HoH description was...? Just put in a fun fact or a tip for guests. Outright lying is pretty stupid in my opinion. 2 months worth of maps with an attraction description for an attraction that doesn't essentially exist anymore...

I understand updating the graphic of the HoH facade might be much for a while, but the description? Yeah, I consider that lazy, even with the excuse that they're waiting for Grinchmas.

I don't think it was intentional lying, just laziness and an excuse to not replace maps until next month. They probably should've replaced it with the StarWay and its description, though.

To be frank, it's really not a big deal. Including a tip on the informational sidebar would not be congruent with the rest of the map.

Let's not make a mountain out of an anthill here.

........i was stating my opinion that I think it's lazy and it's a lie. It's not a big deal in the scope of the civilization, I'm not THAT anal, but I just think it's ridiculously bad show and lazy. I'm sticking with that.

I dunno, Captain EO was not on the Disneyland map for a good year despite being open. It's really not a big deal, and is better considering guests would just be like, "What is that?" anyways.

Alrightyyy folks lol, again, just stating my opinion. I know it's not a huge deal, I'm gonna live you guys. I'm still breathing. I still think it's bad show/lazy, Disney or Universal. We can move on now....

I'm curious just HOW fancy this new restaurant will be/if it WILL be fancy.

Whatever it will be, I know already that it'll be my go-to place :)

You mean you think there will be a lot of demolition?

Like, of the building?

I think the entire building is gone.  No way they would go this far not to do the entire thing.

Interesting. I wonder how big the new building/complex will be in the end.

Which kinda makes me sad. If they're just leveling the entire building and starting from scratch, why not just put in a new attraction custom built to the available space?

But I ain't complaining. I need a nice place to eat in the park that isn't Grab N Go or Fast Food Blvd.

This seems to go against the simple refurbishment theory, then. Looks like there's gonna be a lot more work on the road ahead.

earliest your probably going to expect is Fall 2015/early 2016. If they're getting rid of the building, does that include the Globe Theatre?

^ Nah. The main debate I'm having is whether or not Stage 13 goes away as well. If that building is razed alongside Victoria Station, then we have a comprehensive project in the works.

Considering the "New York" theming across from those attractions, would you think they'd be building a New York themed entertainment area to match the theme?

Most likely going to match the Art Deco theme of Universal Plaza.

Even the construction walls surrounding the site are Art-Deco-themed. Kinda weird looking, to be honest, but it's definitely a sign that this is the theme they want to reflect on the area in front of Universal Plaza. One has to wonder if they'll eventually carry that Art Deco theme to Hollywood Grill given that it's directly across from what used to be House of Horrors.

William you read my mind! I'm also curious if they'll redo/retheme the other side of the street as well to be Art Deco.

Which makes me think...will they also slowly start to retheme the other existing stores that are part of the entrance to be Art Deco as well? They're all Spanish themed, and while Spanish and Art Deco go well together, I'm curious if they're going to completely go for an Art Deco motif along the entire entrance.

But probably won't happen, considering Pink's Hot Dogs is part of Universal Plaza and it's Spanish themed, not Art Deco. So it's definitely gonna be a blend of both if I have to guess.

I give so many props to Universal for doing this project. Setting the scene at the front of the park is super important to the experience.

I thought about that as well, but then the Universal arch may look out of place surrounded by Art Deco theming. Kinda funny that Cinnabon and Pink's don't fit at all with Universal Plaza's tower.
