These rumors are very odd to me. Last I saw the inside of the building, nothing suggested there would be a significant separation between the two elevations, it all looked like it will be part of one store. Very interesting if this ends up being true. If yes, I hope it's Universal Monsters themed.

Although honestly, I would have just prefered if this building features an expanded Universal Experience museum.

I'm actually okay with it being Walking Dead. I look forward to having our horror fix year round again. If Murdy uses that to do two TWD houses during HHN then I'll rage.

I'd be ok with Walking Dead as well, but I would greatly prefer UCM simply because it fits the park better.

The folks over at ParkJourney got a glimpse at the façades facing WaterWorld. Besides the coloring, what a spectacular change from what was there previously.

Definitely a huge change. Can't wait till it's finished.

Not crazy about the stark difference between each "facade's" color scheme yet. Will reserve my full judgment until it'ss finished.

I'm curious if they'll repaint or alter the existing entrance stores somehow.

Those facades are beautiful... except the purple and black one. I'll probably change my mind once they're 100% done but so far that one seems extremely out of place.

The ones closest and furthest from the camera though... amazing.

New video from InTheLoop that shows some of the detail of the new façades.

Huh... that's... different. I'm not crazy about the fact there are multicolor facades and then the main Not-HoH façade being the regular tan color. And then of course the fact that the main entrance is a completely different style compared to the rest of the facades. It just looks so awkward. I'm sure it will look A LOT better once finished. Nice to the scaffolding come down though.

The part that really seems odd about this whole thing is the awkward transition of the existing studio store & the new building. You'd think they'd make the exterior more aligned than the current indent that is there now. I circled the area I'm referring to...

I really appreciate how the new façades transition from Spanish Motif theming to match the entrance arch, to different types of Art Deco design eventually matching the more retro style design of Universal Plaza. Funny enough that's something you would expect to see in Hollywood. Many types of Art Deco clashing together. Someone in Universal Creative is really doing their homework!

According to Screamscape, the entrance to the new year round haunt maze will be on the Baker Street side of the new building, which may explain the facades at the end being smaller than the rest.

If this is true, then that means the unfinished interior shot of the building we saw was for this new haunt attraction. So that could possibly mean the main store part of the new building could be further along.

Could they open the new expanded store before the rumored attraction is done? Or would they wait & open the entire building at once?

I want to like it, but I just need to see more work be done on it to really make a decision. As of right now, it looks a bit too flat and the architectural transition is very awkward. Especially with the crazy color scheme. Wait and see.

Hmm upon further inspection of that InTheLoop video, a lot of those buildings don't seem like they will retain bright coloring once more details get put in.

The building to the left seems to be attracting the most attention. I went back through IU's old photo updates and found that many of the Springfield façades were similair before final details were put in.

Probably looking too far into it but this coloring doesn't seem final to me. We'll probably see a lot of change from now until February.

That's a fantastic point. I was curious why a few of the facades had a very bland exterior style. With additional architectural details and lit up signs, I'm sure it'll look great!

I'm just glad we're getting a fully fleshed out entrance pathway haha. It could have gone a completely different direction...

I didn't notice the Egyptian/ Aztec themed building with the Pharoah/ Aztec statue on top.  Such a difference in theming from what used to be there!  One of these buildings facing the entrance will probably house Starbucks.
