It’s kinda funny how we’re all complaining about not getting enough stuff when we’re getting a full-blown new resort in less than five years.

I’ll happily take Fantastic Worlds over a new JP roller coaster any day. Especially when JW could be in Fantastic Worlds anyways.

The JP coaster is still happening, AFAIK.

I wouldn’t doubt it. But even if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be complaining. Put all of your hard work and dedication into the new park, make it something great. That’s all I want.

There's enough talent at Creative (and they're hiring a TON more) to have people working on plans for the old parks as well as the team on Park 3.

I think people have lost the ability to go to the parks and...just have fun? I dunno. I was at the parks this weekend with people who don't frequent theme parks, and it's refreshing to tour a park without ridiculous nitpicks and qualifiers on a list to what makes a ride "good".

"Mostly" the same type of good rides? Outside of Shrek, MM, and Fallon, which is definitely a problem, I'm not sure I'd say any of the other rides in the park are anywhere close to being the same as the others.

F&F is basically Kong and Transformers is basically Spider-Man, which are all next door to each other. There's very little variation. The good I take from F&F is that public have been very vocal and this should set UC in a better direction for the future. Add D23 into the mix to give a better boot up the arse and I think the future should be delayed slightly but looking much brighter.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

If they build a coaster that doesn't go over any public areas, could this be a slight response to complaints about lockers and metal detectors? Possibly a reason why Flying Dinosaur isn't a consideration for here.

I don’t know if I’d call that an E-ticket

(Please forgive me, Bill Paxton)

MIB opened the year after but it was being built at the same time.

MIB, Mummy was around 2004 I want to say

In other words, there is no reason why Universal can't build a new resort complex and a dino coaster at the same time

Sure, and they probably will. But people were talking g about how IOA and USF’s additions were “slowing down”, which is totally to be expected with such a huge investment on the horizon

For sure, I just don't think we'll see an Epcot situation in USF or IOA while the new park is being built

I imagine they will want something to balance the hype for the new park

Agreed. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a big project at each original park start a few months before the new one opens to really balance things out

Kong closed September 2002, a couple years after IoA opened.

When people seriously complain about Diagon, Springfield, Cinematic Celebration, and Transformers, they’ve lost the plot. Sorry not sorry.

Since 2011 USF has gotten: Minion Mayhem, Springfield, Transformers, Diagon, Fallon, F&F, Cinematic Spectacular, and Cinematic Celebration.

Fallon and F&F may not be up to snuff for some people, but the idea that USF is neglected and long suffering is ridiculous.

In your opinion. I’d take USF of today over USF of 1993 any day of the week

I’d take USF 2000 or 2004 over today’s crap.
