Isn't Taiga situated on a hill/incline? That may account for a lower speed into the top hat.
Taiga enters its top hat about 30 ft off the ground. This one is either ground level or slightly below depending on where we are measuring from. They’ll need some extra ooomph to get this one up and over.I knew you were right @Scott W.
As far as the height/speed thing, the ride is looking a lot like Taiga which goes 65.9 into a 170 ft. “Top hat”. I’m not sure if this is 170 though, it looks more like it’s going to be 160 to me. I’ll have to see in person.
Taiga's run up to the crest of it's top hat is much shorter than Velocicoaster. It has about a 25-30ft head start, where as Velocicoaster will be going from it's lowest point to it's highest point.I knew you were right @Scott W.

I figure that the track coming out of the tunnel is approximately 10 feet below finish grade so just a loose guess it's approximate height is about 160'. Not that it really matters. Doing some quick math in my head, I'd figure it's going to get up to 68 mph approximately. Just a quick guess...I could be off a little. I've been known to be off before, especially in my previous predictions.Assuming this is path is right, it is roughly 25 people tall using one of the builders in the photo (green box to the right)

This is a very rough way of doing it. Assuming the builder is 6ft tall, the top hat is 150ft above the water using this method.

Close enough for government work. I'm sure it's going to be an awesome ride either way. I'll be there with bells on to be one of the first.I was taking that from the lagoon level. The launch track is about 10ft above that so you would be going up 140ft from that point if it is 150ft tall.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated... so much so that I may have to make a drink myself in your honor. Well done champSo here's how #tophatwatch is going.

Honestly they're probably going to wait a week to install the top hat now just so you and others can come to the parks and drink like this throughout the day. Gotta make $ back somehowJust doing my part. Let no one say I'm not a team player.
Apparently they have met #UniTwitter. We are way more fun than #DisTwitter.Honestly they're probably going to wait a week to install the top hat now just so you and others can come to the parks and drink like this throughout the day. Gotta make $ back somehow
