King Kong Speculation Thread

I actually wrote it down:

Two connected vehicles
“Driver/guide” in first vehicle
4-6 people per row
5-6 rows in first vehicle
7-8 rows in 2nd
Enter attraction through giant gates/old ruins left of Thunder falls terrace (where T-Rex Photo op is)
go underground through ruins/temple. Heavily themed
go upstairs/top of temple to ride load area (outdoors)
scenes 1-3 are outdoors
3-4 transition indoors through wall
4a,4b,5 indoors
5-6 transitions back outside
“Very unique” bonus scene after unload.

4a (insect chasm) has 4 active AAs, + multiple insect projections. (Scorpions, centipedes, dragonflies)

4b vehicle loses (control) into a cave (bat cave)
Scene 5 is the major scene with Kong (large number of projectors in this scene)
Scene 6 will have something physical that a lot of people will be happy to see

Holy crap I just now read this! This just got me so damn excited for this ride! This sounds like its going to be more than I ever dreamed it could be! Can you imagine if Kong comes back and ends up being one of the best dark rides around? What a dream come true for all us Universal Fanatics! The level of potential for this ride really does sound amazing. And as you can tell I am behind with this news, so sorry lol

This ride sounds unbelievably awesome! I hope the cutbacks are minimal, if any, and we get this attraction as described. I'm still mind-blown on the fact that Kong is really coming back! This is going to be the greatest come-back in theme park history!

No height restriction? I thought this was targeting the 9 and up crowd but seriously this could be Kilimanjaro Safaris fully realized if they pull it off! I'd love to have another all-ages people-eater! And it'd make up for no Discovery Center Omnimover

I wish they'd cut the flat ride and just add $10-15 million for a short dark ride inside the Discovery Center. $25-30 million is all you need for a 2.5-3 scene dark ride where one of the scenes would require minimal decorating (just have an egg demonstration with an actor) plus it would eat more people than a carousel

I would be happy with the film at the start.. a lab scene or two.. an egg hatching scene.. real basic stuff. Just something I can go on after a big lunch at Mythos.

Since a monster scale Kong attraction/mini island is coming, I'm pretty pleased with just JPRA getting a huge upgrade and the island actually have Dino's(AAs) around. I mean don't get me wrong I want more and a coaster, but eventually you have to sit back and realize just how much Universal is giving us within a few years. You know unlike Disney who takes a few years to ANNOUNCE new bathrooms or takes 4 years to build one ride. But if it was up to me of course I would want a full scale Amber Mine, DC dark ride, AA's, and a major upgrade to JPRA.

I forget where, but I believe somebody posted a picture earlier this week of the site for this being cleared out, reportedly at an ever-increasing pace (I want to say it was Hatetofly but I'm afraid of being wrong haha), so if this ends up not happening, I'm now going to be even more shocked and disappointed :happy:

I know hate posted it here because I don't use twitter and saw the pic. It is really exciting to see them already getting started even if it is just minor. This is the one attraction that has me excited. Kong being back in Orlando is just too awesome.

If it's Kong related it's coming from me as no one else with the exception of Whylightbulb has really come forward with any Kong rumored intel. Just people who have copied exactly what I've said but without graphic details on the ride package.
