That's a very odd shape for the showbuilding considering the massive space that is required to house 360:3D. Unless the queue were to mostly be outdoors.

The show building measurements are roughly double the size of the KK 360 building.

And even then, this Kong isn't 360, so that's a moot point.

Parkscope is saying the total size of the attraction area will be about 4 1/2 acres. And the building looks like it occupies 2 to 2 1/2 acres. That's actually a decent size.

Another document quotes that as the area of the project.

I probably didn't communicate that well. By attraction area I was referring to the project area.

That area behind Thunder Falls is very interesting, I wonder is that part of the experience or just backstage work?

I can't recall, was the attraction rumoured to have an outdoor section at all? If so that would be a logical section.

I in no way have any insight but just given the amount of space between the JPRA reservoir, JPRA show building, and Thunder Falls is reportedly being eyed for this project it just seems like it has to be part of the ride experience. An outdoor section or two would make sense.

If there is an outdoor portion, it will be in the front of the attraction, not back behind JPRA, I would imagine. That will be back of the house facilities.

So being bored on Saturday night, I stumbled across this. Some plans were filed to the South Florida Water Management that gives a good idea on what the show building and project area for Kong will be. I threw up this together based on the filings. The red outline is the project outline, and the shaded light pink area is the apparent show building.

I would say bottom right area will definitely be for the outdoor area. Terrace falls being the main entrance and exit for the attraction. I really am hoping for a kong AA for a scene or two. Mix of AA's and 3D will bring this to the next level. (Yes I know there will be Dino and probably insect AA's, but we need to see KONG!)

The bottom right will be the entrance and queue area. Not sure where the outdoor portion would be? The plans make it look like the whole ride is indoors.

Do you have sources for this? Because if not, No way, I couldnt believe that; And if it is true then I dont see this ride being outdoor at all. That area will be better utilized for the outdoor portion

Thunder Falls won't be part of the project, as indicated on these maps.

Me thinks the show building may be two stories. What I have in my head the outdoor portion is upstairs with lots of trees and foliage blocking out Dudley and JPRA.
