Yeah, there are "ifs" on a few project numbers right now. The politics of promotion for money and no cuts. I have no idea who is in the final meetings making the financial decisions, but I would assume it is Comcast.

Mercy, it took me a while to type the above vague and elusive bit of text.

Bluster signifying nothing. The project has gone to permitting. Nothing significant will change.

For the record, he said the same thing about Gringotts. Moving on.

Well the crane is not going to be seen from the public areas of IOA. But I did see this 2 tree markers. Unsure if new or not, but sharing anyway.

I went yesterday and I saw those markings. I saw at least four of the white markings (all marked "Save"). So I would say they're going to either leave them alone or relocate them.

Those markers have been there for months now. Nothing seems to have been removed yet (at least from the Guests' side).

Wow..another new ride in a year!? With transformers it made sense as it was basically a carbon copy, but since this is a new ride and area I'm pretty impressed.

If this thing is going to be up and running by next year, they better get started on construction! Lol

I get that this is going to be a big project and something they want to do fast, but I truly hope it's done right...with elaborate theming and AA's!

(Still bummed about no new JP stuff though)

A year for Kong? Guess it make sense then that JP is put on hold.
I know HTF detailed scene descriptions, but has there been any mention concerning the ride mechanics? Are we looking at something simple (busbar), combined with hitech projections, effects and aa's?

Is it confirmed that each ride vehicle will be driven manually? That would be one reason for a quick timeline. No ride system to install and perfect greatly reduces construction and testing.

Is a year really enough time for all that rockwork? Okay, I'll stop being negative. But Skull Island in a year just sounds.. overly ambitious.

He said "Well I can say that Kong is now going through yet another redesign. I don't know yet how extensive it will be but lets keep our fingers crossed that the cool stuff remains...nothing is safe at this point though." So far everything Lightbulb has said has been true including Gringotts. He isn't saying here that there will definitely be a major redesign and I do know that not all the RFPs have been released because they are still going back and forth on show elements. It looks like he, along with the rest of us, is hoping nothing major gets cut. The project going to permitting doesn't mean it is too late to cut any part of the show.

I'm not surprised they are trying to have this thing up in a year. It's not like Jaws or LC where they have to bulldoze the whole area to get it flattened, and then begin. They're pretty much beginning with an almost blank canvas aside from the bus stop with Kong from the start instead of having to make one.

Most rock work prep is done in pre-production. I don't think we're looking at Carsland level stuff here.
