Either TPU will be seen as the next cutting edge source or they'll end up with egg on their face and being shunned. I wouldn't have taken the risk.

Okay, here's an easy way to see if "Pokémon 2020" is a thing:

April 26th is the Nintendo Investors Meeting. If KidZone is being replaced with Pokémon for 2020, construction will start this year, and it would almost surely be talked about at the investors meeting.

a very diverse one at that, featuring woodpeckers, mice, monkeys, even dinosaurs. and if you include animal actors, it's a whole dang zoo!

If IoA’s next big thing is JP I could see Pokémon at the studios being the first Nintendo opening, followed by Zelda, and finally Mario at the third park. Assuming 2020 is accurate. Funny thing is what will people do in that instance, specifically in Japan. Do they go to Mario in Japan, fly to Orlando for Pokémon, or both? Lol.

If, and I do sincerely mean this with the top of my own voice, if Pokemon is 2020, they would do it similar to how 2014 was for Potter, to where both were marketed separately with no crossover between Diagon and Osaka Hogsmeade.

I do not buy Theme Park University's remarks, as I have sincere doubts that Pokemon will be first.

Yes but even then they’ll know we’re getting Pokémon. No way the news doesn’t reach there at all. It is a very big “if” but it also poses a very interesting situation due to how big Pokémon is.

Odd's are, the SNW name would actually be dropped if Pokemon comes, as it can very well stand on it's own, even without Nintendo's branding.

Why am I thinking of We Bought a Zoo while reading this?

I have to be curious, especially considering that the last investor's call had the major announcement of the Universal/Illumination Animation deal, it may not be too far fetched. That said, has Pokemon Company done investor calls before, or is that attached to Nintendo's investor calls?

That doesn’t really answer anything. Odds are there will be plenty of people that even with Mario and the Olympics that year they’ll still fly over for Pokémon.

If it’s 2020 that is. They’ll still fly over any other year but having all of it happen in 2020 would sure be the sight.

I don't know how it works, but everyone is assuming Pokémon Switch being a 2018 title will be announced at or before April 26th, so I assume they'll talk about it there

Nintendo themselves said it was a “2018 or later” game at the last investors call. Other games that had similar tease announcements like Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 got the typical “TBA.” A Pokémon Direct announcing the game AND land would be spectacular.

I know, but this one will focus on the coming year, and if it's coming out in 2018, they're going to confirm it before then or then

I was just reiterating for anyone who didn’t know it’s not just the rumor mill and actually has substance.

Really? You don’t think all the biggest fans that aren’t able to go to Japan will wait years after Hollywood just for it to open in Orlando? I’ll remind you that fans are a big part of the reason Hogsmeade had such insane pull. Fans from all over the world came to see it and fans are an impatient bunch.
So why wouldn't the super fans come to Orlando, which is going to have a bigger, better, more complete version of Super Nintendo World even after visiting it in Hollywood? Needless to say, Harry Potter has caused a ton of repeat business by its fans in the parks in Orlando. I'd be surprised if Hollywood is not first at this point. I'm also still predicting Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario ALL go to the third park and probably open together. I'm guessing Hello Kitty to Kid Zone for sure, and maybe Spongebob if they decide its not worthy of a spot at the new park. I don't see why Nintendo would want their properties seperated, and I think they have the final say in that. Plus having Nintendo properties take up a third or more of the new park is likely to look more impressive then little pieces in each one. Maybe some smaller Nintendo IP can join Hello Kitty as a Kid Zone upgrade.

Does anyone know if Warner Brothers and JK get percentages of every ticket sale only for any park Potter is in? For example, when Hogsmeade first opened did they only receive a % from IOA ticket sales or did they included USF as well?

OMG I can't wait. BTW, I don't know what the 4th theme park would be themed too, which is a different kind of question.
