True. And not what I expected at all - not that I knew or heard anything, but just not what I was thinking at all for Fallon.

And for the record, Twister is just a big empty shell with no back walls now.

I can't remember if that's the same ride system Teebin was telling us about. Geez, it seems like we've been talking about this attraction forever and it's still a year away. But, as to the Soarin comparison, whether it's true or not, isn't Soarin considered the premier attraction in Epcot.?But I guess our expectations for Universal are so high that we consider something akin to Disney's recent best attractions as not good enough for a Universal park. Wow, Universal has come a long way. :)

Well, that... and it's a giant screen. I think culturally we're at giant-screen attraction saturation level.

Hasn't it been said already of the ride tech being more like the Europe in the Air attraction that was at BGW?

I think if they're trying to get two theatres set up; that'd also be the more likely set-up.

Yep. The description of the ride came from moi. I was mortified at first... but came around due to the subject matter and the queue.

God I really hope it isn't like Europe in an Awkward Vantage Point. Er um, Europe in the air.

I agree with that. At first; I wasn't happy, but with the IP that is "The Tonight Show" with the potential of the line being a great homage to NBC's shows and what-not; I have huge excitement for what is going to entail.

Call me crazy; but i'm like with the minor, of [HASHTAG]#knightupforfallon[/HASHTAG]

A question does raise up to me, are they going to extend the show-building more to accommodate a new line? I'd think that it'd make sense, considering the fact that the side facing the HP Expo is all gone.

I meant just extending the showbuilding for Fallon a bit, to accommodate more space for the attraction itself.

I've been on that ride at BGW through at least three different theme incarnations. The first two I was on were actually a lot of fun, though a bit rough, because there's a lot of rough movement & bouncing around. The problem with Europe In the Air is the horrible film, not really the ride system. If Fallon is indeed like that BGW ride system, it may actually be pretty cool for a Fallon Race Through NY theme because it has tons of rough bumpy racing feeling type movement, though it creates a modicum of motion sickness. I remember one scene in a previous incarnation where you were shrunk in size and carried in a pouch on , I believe, a running unicorn. Well, it sure as heck felt like you moving really fast and the sensation was similar to riding a horse that was running over rough terrain.

This is soooooo different in that it is 4K 3D. The 4K will assist the brain more, especially if it at a higher frame rate than standard film.

I was referring primarily to the actual movement of the seats/ platform. But I'm sure your reference to 4K 3D will ease the motion sickness aspects.

The difference between the two is also this,

Europe in The Air was a broken attraction from the get-go, using technology that was more dated. I'm sure with Fallon, UC is taking steps to make sure with the manufacture that the version of the flying theatre (I believe that's what it's called) Is more up-to-date, allowing smoother (or aggressive) motions to occur, with a better system of seating.

That's a guess, but it would make sense in my book that this technology; even if cheap, will benefit in the long run.

Yes, I believe it is possible the seats will tilt on the arms, allowing it to go near vertical. I do not know that this is the case so I am just guessing based on "things".

And to answer your question Alex, everything, both theaters will exist within the building dimensions that currently exist.

I'm not critical of the ride system at all. I'm agreeing with you for the most part. And yes, that's also my point to not compare it to Europe In the Air, because the fault was mostly a horrible film. I actually thought the strength of the ride was that it had a ton of movement which would be ideal for someone wanting racing thrill through NY. And I rode the ride in it's first years also, and it always had a lot of rough bumpy movement, but I believe it was supposed to be that way. It was a thrilling attraction, not just another 3D film attraction with seats that had a little movement. It always had really long lines in it's first years when it had different themes than Europe in the Air. .

I honestly think that's the only idea that might somehow make for an OK addition to the park. At least it would be a somewhat new experience for the Universal property rather than another Hanna-Barbera/Nicktoon style ride system that I think has been suggested previously.
