Basically, Universal are cloning the only 2 reasons that a lot of people are still going to Epcot for these days and hopefully improving on both.

Except F&F isn't using the same or even similar ride system as Test Track, at least from what I've gathered, so that's not exactly an accurate statement.

I appreciate that, but for your average park-goer, it's "moving fast in a car", even if that's mostly simulated.

If ride system doesn't matter, then doesn't Disney already have another Test Track "clone" as you put it? Rockin' Roller Coaster. I mean, you are in a car (limo) and going fast after all.

Being a similar concept (in this case cars) does not make a ride a clone. Ride systems do matter. The entire experience of Fast & The Furious will be completely different from that of Test Track, regardless if they have a underlining similar (I use that loosely here, because the only connection they have is cars) theme, and therefor you really shouldn't compare the two.

If Fallon sticks to New York it'll take a lot of other elements to beat Soarin when it switches to World.

You will start out in the Theater as a live studio Audience such as in the beginning of this video and some effects and storytelling will occur before we are quickly raised up and on an adventure as we Race Through NY with Jimmy Fallon. Thus fooling everyone into thinking they have only entered a small theater to reveal something much grander. With a few extra effects and surprises to boot.

This is just an idea to utilize the technology from Falcon's Treehouse and I think would be one unique way to present it so it is not just the same old simulator.

This is my thing. I don't mind simulators, I just prefer that they be creative when building multiples. If this video is any indication what this ride will be like, I'm all for it as long as it is tame.

It's almost the same exact thing as Soarin but with a different mechanism to hoist you into the air. Disney own Avatar ride is more distinct because it launches from different levels and has a different ride vehicle seating setup.

I like the fact that there using a different type of simulator system. Maybe creative was a bad word. Variety of ride systems better describes what I was trying to say.

Meaning if Universal is going to build multiple rides that are essentially simulators or hybrid simulators, I am all for the different types of ride systems.

I don't want to pay $100 to ride Soarin'/Go to Epcot for a day.

I love the idea that you're in a "normal studio audience" and are then lifted out of it. Kinda like an update on Simpsons. I'm really into that idea.

Also, a good ride is a good ride. Ride system is all based on preference and enjoy ability. For example: I would love more rides using Kuka.

You basically go to Epcot to ride Soarin and TT then leave...Jimmy is an addition to a stellar line up of E-tickets

First time I did Disney we did Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom in a day. This was 2002.

That's my thoughts on it. I'm looking forward to this more than I am F&F.

I'm not completely sold on the Kuka system yet as I always feel a bit sick after HP and that rarely happens but I think it's more to do with the projections than the movement.
