I understand, but when it comes to an Orlando vacation, every aspect of Universal and WDW will be compared.

Sure. Maybe when Universal has over 20 onsite hotels this is something they can consider, but they're only about to open #5. Right now it makes sense to have it as something that's pretty much by reservation only like DLR.

Yup. They each have taxi lanes, just ask a porter. And they each have a Hertz rental car desk in the lobby.

How does this work? You go to the desk and a car is brought to the hotel or do they have some on site?

From where I sit in this (nowhere) I thought it was a good compromise to honor one of your leading ecohosts but to hang the "Boaty" moniker on the submersible seemed the right thing to do.

Yeah, it was a nice touch, the man is a national treasure. It's David Attenborough's 90th birthday today as well which made it a bit more special.

Given how bad this year has been for celebrity deaths, I think Britain as a whole wants to put him bubble wrap.

I'm very familiar with the whole thing (I was watching the Reddit thread as it exploded). Obviously the tweet by Universal is real, but Disneyhead's post seemed to be implying that it was physically real, as in they had actually repainted the name of a boat. That's what I was responding to.

I don't think they repainted it, I think it's a new boat. With Sapphire opening soon and the waterway expanding, they've expanded the fleet.

And they truly, actually painted its name as Boaty McBoatface? I mean, I guess I wouldn't be that surprised, but it seems a lot more like something you do an easy, quick photoshop job for as the joke. That's all I want to really know, photoshop joke or physical joke? I know they're adding a boat or two for Sapphire.

I was thinking that it is one of the two new boats for Sapphire Falls. But I really didn't think about it that much. I knew they got new boats. They tweeted that. I assumed it was one of the new boats. But now that you mention it, it could be shopped. And the fact that it's in CityWalk and there aren't any other pics that Google search can find. Hmmm. IDK.

Eh, just because Disney World does it, doesn't mean it's the norm. Most places do charge for transfers. Disneyland themselves charge too. It's about $24 each way. What's important is that they offer it.

Well yeah, Disneyland is a hike from LAX...not so much the case in Orlando.
