What are people's thoughts on Holidays in the park?

Going again tonight, its a very six flags way to celebrate the holiday. Is it much cheaper to have all these characters in lands over making a stage show? Its cool we have so many people to see when walking but feel a stage show would....kinda be a better use in my opinion and no not on the stage in the front on the theater near scream that they for some reason have not used in 10 years

Don't they have at least two stage shows this year? The slider reindeer show (if it you count that as a stage show, but I would), and I want to say there may be two different shows on the Full Throttle stage. Not 100% about there being two shows on that stage, but there's certainly at least one.

And yes, walk around characters would be cheaper. They don't have to come in multiple times for rehearsals, have a choreographer, learn said choreography, pay music royalties, a stage has to be set up and equipped, lighting programmed, sound design, etc. Stage shows, even small ones, take a lot of behind the scenes work and time.

The theater near Scream/TC is still being used, but for special events (the cheer/dance competitions have moved there, for instance).

Yeah, I saw that.......show

It is a show but man is it...just.....kinda really bad. It has some cute dancing but the play part was hard for me to watch.

I just hope now that Knotts is apart of this we could get a few more shows of at least that quality

Also I do want people to know, I like the walk around characters they are great more just would like some real entertainment back at Six Flags

I doubt it. It’s too iconic for the park.

Went to the parks on Friday night

Characters seem to come out at 5 PM and do a little show near the DC area/tree and then walk out to their area's in the park

Live music near the Candy Cane forest is nice, the front area elf show is still just....really not great the actors do there best with what it is but its just really not the best. There seem to be a light show in between X2 and the front area where the snow sculptures are but I don't see anything on the website saying what timer its on. The front snow show is every 20 mins and now the Looney tune characters are dressed for the Hoidays and saw Bugs, Daffy and sylvester out and will post pictures of them below.

Compared to the first weekend more lights are working and saw more of the mini shows out, I think the app needs to be updated to tell you when characters are out and where and when shows are happening. I would love a bigger show in the gear works theater but if your not going to do that then please update the app so we know what is happening and when...this reminds me of the super hero event in which they are paying money for things to happen but not really telling guests where and when to do things...so people just have no idea things are happening so why even have said events if your guests have no clue they are happening? I really just don't understand spending money on things and not minding if literally 5 people or less are watching your shows or meeting with characters

Outside that, the park was not crowded and had a good time just wish Six Flags was more organized, Its just insane compared to every other park Ive ever been to , like even sea world tells you show times and locations

I do have to agree with you that show times should be in the app. I can sort of understand if characters aren't in the app... that's a semi-random thing (though for the Heroes & Villians event, it would be nice to know if you wanted to meet a specific character).

But totally agreed that shows are obviously clearly scheduled in advance at set times, and that really should be in the app. I'd go see them if I knew when they were happening, but I'm not going to stand around a stage for an unknown amount of time just waiting for a show at some point.

No, that would involve them having to rebuild the entrance to the ride.

Any updates on the Sky Tower reopening plans? Is that something Cedar Fair is still interested in doing?

I went yesterday

A few rides at 45 mins but most were walk ons.

I went on batman for the first time in years and was pretty good, mostly pretty smooth and fun.

I didn't see the sliders out yesterday and they were not running the show in the front near full throttle. Hopefully next days week they will have all characters out on weekdays.

The light show between the front of the park and X2/viper runs I think every 15 mins

Saw tweety and sylvester dressed up for the holidays along with bugs and daffy in the front of the park.

Yes, don’t quote me but I believe they are manufacturing brand new elevators/ cables to modernize the entire system the Sky Tower ran on.

Yep. Also get ready for the complaints , but I’m hearing due to capacity, it will reopen as an upcharge.

If they upcharge the tower then both levels better be open, with seating, air conditioning, and no time limits.

BRUH.

Hopefully it won’t be permanent. I just don’t see that issue lasting long enough to justify keeping the up charge.

I'm deeply skeptical it actually has much to do with making the attraction an upcharge.

I think they’re also justifying the upcharge by making the top floor an exhibit and the floor beneath it some sort of lounge that serves food/ beverages.

Good luck with that Six Flags

because one thing teenagers are known for are paying for upcharages and yes this is for adults but I go.....its like 70% teens and families. I rarely see many adults by themselves and doubt most families would pay for 4 people to go up in the skytower at six flags

But we will see if they end up charging or not
