Magic Mountain should just take the Canadas Wonderland approach of the last fifteen years and just build the newest and baddest flat rides in the gaps of the park . Rides the scale of Cranzanity have the appeal of ultimate thrill park material and at a budget price. A nice size ferris wheel also would do wonders for SFMM.

So, what's the over/under of Superman just not reopening again? Feels like that's a prime candidate in Cedar Fair's rumored list of 16 coasters to close this offseason or the next, especially since it hasn't been open for a while.

It's 100% gone. I'm fine with any of the problematic coasters except X2 going though.

I'd suspect Viper, Ninja, and Superman are all prime candidates for removal at this point.

Removed and replaced or just removed?

If Ninja goes...hope we get another just fun coaster...the park just doesn't have enough to do for families and I know some will argue go for the thrill seekers only but they have tried this and they aren't even open most days now...they need to get families and others to come in or else just be open..maybe half the year if we are lucky

That's why I'm thinking it'll be Superman and maybe Viper. Superman is a maintenance nightmare that's not what it used to be. Viper is an aging Arrow multi-looper on a prime piece of land. I think both X2 and Ninja are safe until both Superman and Viper are gone and one is replaced.

Removed short term, replaced long term as attendance rebounds. Much like Great Adventure losing six attractions in one season and replacing with one...

Given how much Cedar Fair hates stand ups, I wouldn't be surprised to see Scream removed, used as a second entrance, and Riddler converted to a sit down.

I will say most people want a new entrance, current one feels too far even if you are parking close

Sucks we have to lose...a Coaster and along with other coasters to get it

I sadly feel like this park is going to have a rough decade and hopefully in the 2030s can finally get back to its peak

Based on the reality of how the park is actually operated, I think it'd be good to see some trimming of the bloat around the park. I don't love the idea of seeing coasters, especially ones with historic significance, close... but it's clear the park needs fewer coasters placed more strategically to run in a palatable way. Almost any coaster along the park's outer perimeter, especially Apocalypse, Scream and Viper, should be candidates for removal IMO.

Are we assuming the 2026 coaster opens before any of these removals? Not that it matters with Superman since it's been not operating forever.

When we say, "Superman removed", are we assuming the tower would remain for Drop of Doom? Or would that go too?

They have been loving Vortex for the last 30 plus years lol. Just gave it a paint job and (if I remember correctly) new electrical work. #StillStanding

I’m not so sure guests are loving it. I thought it was atrocious.

When is the last time the gift shop outside the park was open? I can’t recall it ever being open. I’m sad to see the sign go, I love the design style.
