Yes, it is due to the rain. Keep in mind the park only has 2 covered rides (Carousel & bumper cars) & one indoor ride (justice league).

I'm just used to Kings Island where you can ride when it is sleeting. I've been on Banshee and The Bat when it was raining and about 40 degrees. I'm not suggesting that is a good thing or demonstrating any kind of intelligence on my behalf. That is why I asked.

I am not privy to how bad of shape Superman is now and I am certainly no engineer, but could they conceivably just call up S&S to redo the launch system? AFAIK it’s the launch and ops that’s problematic for the ride.

At the end of the day, I would still rather lose Superman ANYDAY over X2. But still it’s a shame to just leave it abandoned.

I'd imagine it'd be impossible to maintain Superman unless you completely retracked it and made it into a different ride altogether in track, style of launch and of the trains altogether.

When Tower of Terror went and bit it in DreamWorld; it was because the ride was no longer in Intamin's catelogues I believe. I would imagine it wouldn't be worth the capital on spending money of this, and that it'd be better suited to partially remove the track and supports connecting the tower so Lex can continually run without concern.

Steampunk bathrooms are now open! In all their unthemed glory.

But in a surprising bonus, the men's urinals are the waterless variety. I believe it's the first use of these in the park... a nice step in the right direction.

Bathrooms still look too small. And the unthemed exterior (and interior) highly agitates me. Just because it's a place to :poop: doesn't mean it should look so cold, corporate & basic.

The exterior of those bathrooms look very similar to the ones across from the Carousel. Now build one in DC Universe

I remember the old DC Universe bathrooms. They were actually "themed", nothing Disney/Universal level, but it was great.

So I hate seeing "new" bathrooms looking so basic as if they belong backstage out of guest view

I made the effort to go up to the park today. Got here around noon. Most of the rides are closed. Full Throttle is running one train. Most rides that are open either have "no wait" or a "30min-hour wait". *sigh* Currently in line for Crazanity.

Bugs & Daffy were out when I got here.

Wonder Woman has definitely got some kick in the last row. Noticed it already needs a good cleaning/repaint in areas.

I’m so tired of all the rides being closed, and the few that are open only running one train. Building MORE coasters should be the least of their concerns right now. They should honestly spend the next five years just getting enough employees to keep everything running with all their trains at all times.

The app needs a revamp because waittimes are not accurate. They don't completely match the digital waittime signs either. *sigh*

Also just FYI, Samurai Summit is Barricaded off completely. Sad that Ninja is closed.

Will this be the nail in the coffin for X2?

He’s not kidding about that final raven turn. It is almost concussion inducing. However, I don’t think they have the grounds for a winning case. Tragic, but ultimately hard to place at SFMM’s fault.

It’s funny cause I’ve learned how to ride X2 over the years, and my muscle memory always kicks into gear to protect me during the rougher parts of the ride.

But a newbie? Get their head into the wrong position and their whole day could be ruined.

The park now has the finances to re track the ride as well as work with S&S to develop new trains. But will they do that? Or will it get Kingda Ka’d in the next few years?

Though I don’t see the family having grounds for winning (My sincerest condolences to the family) I hope this lawsuit will push them to not get rid of X2, but to retrack it. All they have to do is reach out to S&S and Vekoma(??) and they can get the job done.

To close it would be astronomically foolish because it’s still WIDLY popular with the GP, not to mention it’s iconic. The ride needs an investment, not a replacement.

It's funny you guys bring up X2... I have always loved this coaster, but yikes. It is NOT in good shape. Rougher than hell too, more so than Goldrusher & Viper.

They don't even play the audio in the load platform, also no apocalyptic logo video screen (it's there, but turned off), on top of all that, the ride itself completely lacks audio. It was too windy for the fire, but wouldn't be surprised if that was "dead" too.

I can confirm... the ride has gotten so bad that it banged my head at the end. Had a split second concussion effect. That was a first for me with this ride. Even my chest hurts too. It sucks because I loved this ride, BUT until they fix it, I'm gonna have to say "nope" :sob: :broken_heart:

Yeah, I've loved X2 since it first opened and after riding it in 2021, I walked off saying "never again." I found it absolutely excruciating to ride and I have to imagine it's not gotten any better.

I was just there on Monday. Then, Ninja was open, and FT was running two trains. Admittedly, Apocalypse and Riddler were only running one train. But I still think weekdays are pretty slow in general.

I think for X2, it really depends on where you ride. The front row was shockingly smooth (on a relative scale). But even row 2 is not as good, and it all increases the further to the back you go. The forces are much better in the back, but so is the roughness. Also, they basically gave up on the on-ride audio. Thought I don't really know why they gave up on the station audio and screen. And to it's credit, the fire was working very recently--though only on one side. But if there is a slight wind, they definitely cut the fire effect.

It's spring break season, so even though it's "slow" being a week day, no excuse to be running skeleton crew operations. Waittimes shouldn't exceed 20-30min.

Revolution was only running one train.

Scrambler is gone. But I forgot to get a pic of the area.

I HATE single train operations, especially for rides like Full Throttle which can/has only 2 trains to begin with.

Surprisingly Tatsu, Apocalypse, Goldrusher & Wonder Woman were running 2 trains. So that was nice.

Riddler was closed due to them working on Batman which was getting it's chain replaced (seriously, do that stuff before/after hours). They couldn't open Riddler due to the crane being in the vicinity for Batman *sigh*

Viper was running 1 train, maybe two. I rode the red train, but when I was on X2, I noticed the yellow train was cycling. So probably 2 trains.

Goliath went down for an extended period of time, but I didn't wander back over there to ride it because I'm old, broken & lazy. BUT I will admit that repaint looks 100!!

I skipped Scream & Twisted Colossus due to being too lazy to walk back there lol... also the waittime for TC kept saying 30+ minutes.

Skipped WCR because it said 30+ mins for the waittime, but after it dropped i didn't feel like back-tracking to ride it.

Drop of Doom was closed. Jet Stream & Roaring Rapids closed. Lots of food places closed.

Strange because while there is some overlap, I had many different experiences. FT, Goldrusher, WW, and Viper were all on 2 trains (didn't check many of the rest). And Drop of Doom was open. Riddler and Apocalypse were the single trains.

Revolution has been in single train ops for maybe a year or two--with a very brief exception where it was back to two trains for maybe about a week a few months ago. Not really sure why they can't get that one back to two reliably.

I've also noticed that Goliath does seem to go down semi-frequently anymore. It usually is back up in 30 min or so, but it is odd.

Scrambler has been gone since December. Why they keep getting rid of flat rides in a park that really needs them is beyond me. I get if it was old, but it doesn't seem like it'd be that hard (nor expensive) to find another one to put in there.

I really, really hope a flat ride package is in the near future for this park. So many other SF parks have Nebulaz, Endeavours, Triokas (okay, those are old, but still), Tilt-a-Whirls, Breakdances, Teacups, etc... so the chain would already have experience with them.
