They better have a cameo from the goat. I’m hoping he shows up.

Saw that too. That's how LeBron got AD to waive his $4M trade kicker by letting him star in the movie.

So, Space Jam 2's had an eventful day. From leaks, it seems that the film will include characters from properties within Warner Brother's library.

After watching the first Space Jam for the first time, (it's on Netflix) I'm not sure what to think about these "leaks" with the characters mentioned (Wicked Witch, Pennywise, Joker, The Mask) I enjoyed watching the first film, it has that manic Looney Tunes energy, and the first film had it's enjoyable parts. However, I am not confident in it so far, with WB keeping their mouth shut so tight. I sure it's going to be a experience of some sort.

It could be an age thing. There's something about watching a kids movie as a kid which never leaves you and it just doesn't translate to watching it as an adult.

Space Jam is a masterpiece.

After hearing about some of the "whacky pop cultural hijinks" jammed into this thing, I'm worried this is coming out two years too late.

Never seen the first movie, but based off this analysis I think I'm fine keeping it that way.

It's a good and fun kids movie. No award winning performance and a bit of a muddled plot, but it's a fun movie. I watched it recently on Netflix and it holds up - again, as a fun movie.

Grew up with Space Jam. Definitely a guilty pleasure. Rumor is WB movie characters like Joker, The Wicked Witch of The West, Pennywise, and The Mask will make appearances in the sequel.

Same here, I would watch it just because of the nostalgia for when I was a kid watching for the first time on VHS.

You’re on the right track, but don’t limit it to “WB.” It’s a big conglomerate.

I'm taking this as confirmation that Anderson Cooper is going to make a surprise appearance

So the entire WarnerMedia group and not exclusive to WBPictures? Getting Back in Action vibes from how that feels, in a way..

*Reads the plot synopsis*

So, I say this as someone who acknowledges the first film as a cult film/guilty pleasure...

Yes, the original's plot wasn't good, but this plot makes the original's downright Oscar-worthy. Wanting someone's Instagram followers is a special kind of stupid plot point.

Also, there's a couple types of films you never try to make a sequel/remake of. Hit Swartzenegger films are one of them, and Cult films are another. You can never predict when a film is gonna' reach cult status, it's a weird perfect storm to create something that audiences are gonna' find appealing. It's something you really can't replicate, let alone -waaayyy- later than when the original came out. (There are rare exceptions, see George Miller and Mad Max as 2 out of 3 after the original ain't a bad track record.)
