Tried to outline how the building is currently setup. Not entirely accurate but yea... looks like there might be a small little plaza in front. Probably for seating but if it is indeed Duff Brewery it would be awesome if they included the Seven Duff Statues.

I think you may be right about that!  So glad to see an area that used to be nothing get something pretty awesome!

Please never stop making these.

The fact that Moe's is already completely recognizable excites me beyond belief. I really can't wait for these other façades (and Duff Brewery!) come along.

I wonder if they'll be making changes to the SES exit. I can't imagine they'd want to get rid of it, but I also don't see that crummy canopy staying there much longer.

Hey, I supported that crummy canopy!  In my day, there was no cover for that queue!  LOL

Yes, we used squirt guns to spray the guests in line to keep people cool.  Worst queue design ever!

Haha. I don't necessarily mean get rid of a covering for that area altogether, just replace it with a better one. Isn't that area just used as an exit now, though? Guests enter to the right of Production Central and exit to the left of the StarWay, correct?

Its a double use area, if the queue needed to support the crowd, it is a viable queue for loading.  However, its a show so its not switchbacks.

I don't think SES gets the attention.  We had to use it a lot for Spiderman and Beetlejuice.

I think they're keeping that area as-is for now since SES is slated to become a new attraction eventually according to the Expansion Plan. So it probably will be a part of SES for a while and not be demolished. My guess.

With the Duff Gardens construction going on, the castle theater isn't going anywhere.  Remember the EP is a guideline, which only means that phase 1 was confirmed and all other possibilities on the list can be changed.  I don't think Waterworld is closing any time soon and it was on the EP.

Yeah I guess that's a very valid point. It was only a guideline as to the possibilities of the expansion. With new development like the demolition of Stage 28 (not on the EP) and possible/hypothetical take over of other sound stages, it would make sense that focus would move away from SES and WaterWorld to the lower lot/other areas.

Could this mean another possible repurposing of the Castle Theatre, as opposed to a full-blown demolition and replacement?

I personally hope it either becomes A. A new dark ride (doubt there's room), B. A type of special effects demonstration show like Lights Camera Action or maybe a blend of SES as well as Lights Camera Action. Or C. Wicked :)

I think Castle Theater will remain the SES show for the foreseeable future.  If SES does not move to Stage 28, that would allow for Stage 28 to be something new.  Stage 28 may also be waiting for more Sound Stages to be removed before any development begins???

Springfield looks to be on track for soft opening at least the main building around the same time as Minion Mayhem did last year.

So March? Wow...makes sense though, they're blazing through the construction so fast! I can't wait.

When you say "at least the main building", do you mean besides the Duff/Louie's section?

The best part is that we can only see them blazing through the exterior work. Who knows what's already been accomplished inside?

Yeah. Plus the surrounding themeing and retheming of the Kwik E Mart.

Keep in mind of course this all depends on December rains.

Is the Kwik-E-Mart work really going to be that extensive? It doesn't seem (or, at least I don't think) that they plan on expanding the structure itself, but rather redoing the back ends of the building themed to Moe's and Android's Dungeon. I thought they would've wanted that part done by Grinchmas.

I believe it'll be more of a detheme than anything. Surprised they haven't finished it yet.
