Exactly my thoughts. Didn't they dig up a bunch of ground right in front of the main entrance, though? It seems they're repaving in that area at the same time.

I have a feeling they'll put the Jedediah Springfield statue near the backside of Springfield closer to The Studio Tour entrance. There is a bit of room back there.

It would make more sense, thematically, to place it towards the center of Springfield. The work going on next to the Studio Tour restrooms may go against this, though.

I think that's exactly right.  That clearing behind the Android's Dungeon facade on the Kwik-E-Mart is probably where that will be.

Hmm seeing the recent stall in construction seemingly I'm a bit less confident what I said earlier. I still think think it'll at least be partially open for the Spring Break crowds in April at the latest though.

After seeing Orlando's version this week, I am much more excited for our Springfield.  Orlando's seems 2 dimensional.

It does look like there's a stall in construction but there's definitely tons of work going on behind the tarps!

I've very excited for cohesive themeing! I think it looks to be on track. The facades aren't THAT intricately themed in the show compared to something like Hogsmeade, and they're already half way there, so I think it looks to be on track!

My only one wish is that the "Springfield Hill" from the concept art makes it over to the real world. You can still see the Hogsmeade chimneys in some of the recent construction pics so I hope the hill will cover them.

Though I like the fact that our Springfield will have more to offer, I like how Florida's Springfield is a 360° type of deal. All around you, it's Springfield. Maybe a little bare compared to ours, but still immersive. Ours is Krustyland on one side, Springfield buildings on the other. However, I obviously I can't speak for what sensation you'll eventually get when walking around Simpsons Plaza next Spring.

You'll still be surrounded by only Simpsons except by the little sliver of the Lower Lot entrance arch.

True. Our iteration should result in a more enveloping environment since you're standing in between a 2-story food court and a massive ride show building.

I just went to Universal today.  They're really getting close to finishing the Springfield facades.  The Moe's Tavern is now painted behind the tarps, the Cletus facade is forming on the back side, and some of the facades have been revealed!  Not much has been going on with the steel structure though.  They finally got ride of the old Android's and Moe's facades around the Kwik-E-Mart too.

I am amazed how far back the Hogsmead entrance is to Springfield.  There must be trees expected in this area to separate the two areas.  It just seems very narrow at the moment to walk into Springfield.

I see something similar to what Orlando did to replace the carnival games in front go Hogsmeade.

I saw Orlando last week and I enjoyed the additional foliage in front of Hogsmead.  The train station was an awesome touch.

I just saw the InsideUniversal update and amazed how much scaffolding came down since I was there on Friday!  Amazing to see the Moe's Tavern and Krusty Burger facades out of the tarps!  Moe's is looking great so far!

^That sounds like more fun than the Simpsons Ride.
