I don't think there's ever been a Pride night at Universal. You might be barking up the wrong tree, as it's Didney who's been doing the pride nights; Universal just sells pride merch AFAIK.

No, they've had Pride events... I vividly remember one happening inside the Old Globe. However, I do believe even when they did, it was an outside group just using the venue, not actually put on by Universal itself. Very similar to how SFMM has "Out on the Mountain".

Not sure about this year, though, I haven't really looked into it.

Important to bring up past elements--and the importance of these remaining stages. While their intended purpose now seems to be a wash, it's going to allow them to have the park take over the space of the current Soundstage cluster; allowing the park to promimently expand by a larger amount.

Speculating a small bit, but I think the plan might be to include the old Mill and the old sound building next to the soundstage cluster of 16-24, to push the main road closer out to the LA River. Allowing the park to expand further in the process.
