Honestly I think Musion would likely be more practical for something like this.

Considering that live actors haven't been implemented since terminator, it's probably not gonna happen.

Almost complete, with exit doors already installed:

I haven't even thought about soft opening for this thing. I think that's a fair prediction.

Anyone here think they will launch a commercial of Supercharged with Fast 7 for Superbowl weekend?

I think F&F and Springfield will both officially "open" the same day, so that the swarm of guests coming for F&F will at least have some new places to eat.

Another thing that Universal has to watch out for....Disney will be celebrating Disneyland's 60th in May, with a huge celebration, big marketing campaign, overlays, decorations, refreshed rides, shows, parades, etc. So I think Universal will have to open both before that.

Could we possibly say now, Easter for the weekend? as its a possible time for Springfield Phase I and Fast & Furious with doing it as a weekend media event where they can talk about some of Universals future for Hollywood. With revealing some details as you think of it, it'd be interesting to see that.

So it's Universal Studios vs Disneyland in spring-summer 2015?

I'd say it's Universal Studios V.S. Disneyland no matter what time of year.

Honestly Universal has this one in the bag. Unless Disney has something special under its sleeve that hasn't leaked (the official announcement comes at the end of the month I believe), the celebration will be pretty empty. They won't advertise the upgraded FL attractions, so all they have left is fireworks and Paint the Night to advertise and of course the whole "it's the 60th!" glitz... the 50th had so much more going for it. Frozen Fun is more of a threat IMO.

Universal has a whole new land AND a new attraction. This will entice locals way more, as well as tourists too.

Not to delve too far off the topic, but we're really winning this year if you think about it.

What are we getting in Cali? Universal is adding Springfield and Fast and Furious, Disney is restoring Matterhorn and Peter Pan with some new effects, SFMM is getting Twisted Colossus, and Knott's is getting the new dark ride. Florida isn't getting anything this year except for the Great Movie Ride restoration at WDW. So yeah, we're really winning when you realize that the Orando parks scarcely have anything new this year.

Exactly, us theme park fans win either way. I hate seeing the whole Universal VS. Disney argument. Especially in California haha. I'm excited for both companies. I was simply saying that if I was Universal, I'd try to plan around Disney's 60th anniversary event, because Disney can make even the smallest event seem absolutely grand.

I agree Allen. What Disney has that Universal doesn't is a name brand. When people hear "Disney," they jump right away. Not that universal hasnt generated the same cheer, but they have to work harder.
