Rode it again yesterday with 4 other people. They all absolutely loved it just wish it was longer.

Not fully true....the numerous times I have gone, they do a "professional" and one cell phone photo and then they kinda force you to get in line to buy the photo then you can refuse then.

In a space compacted park, you play the cards you're dealt with. Distant wise from the land, this is still better than the NBCU building looming over USH's SNW. Or the Pixar Place Hotel looming over whatever gets built in the Simba lot for DCA's DL Forward expansion.

Honestly, sure it’s disappointing. I get that. This is frankly such an advanced ride system we have to accept it’s natural limitation in terms of theming. We are not truly magically flying all over this land. It’s a theme park, enjoy the fun nonsense.

Although I could see others argue this ride system in long run wasn’t worth it. For ride design, immersion, capacity, ride execution, all of it. I haven’t ridden so I can’t say but just my take so far.

I get that too but like… they couldn't extend that tarp over a few more feet? Perhaps they couldn't figure out avoid "spoiling" how the ride works when you first get on and it makes that first right turn but I don't feel the same about this. They could've hidden this part of the queue with a tunnel temple or something too.

Just saying there does seem to be a couple of options they could've used here, especially when there's been an emphasis on maintaining the illusion and were generally good at hiding the track in the other outdoor areas.

So... I rode Mine Cart Madness yesterday. Honestly I don't really have much to say but the attraction is just freaking awesome. Insanely fun. It's more thrilling then Flight of the Hippogriff and on par with BTMR and SDMT. The theming is amazing and the animatronics are so cute. I didn't expect that many but there's a decent amount for this type of ride. I got to ride it twice (started in the standby line then did Single rider) and I really wanted to ride it a third time but couldn't because the lines got ridiculous. It's definitely a ride I'll be doing over and over again at Epic Universe once the waits calm down. As for the land itself, also really good! I tried the drum game (I wish there was more then one game in this land tbh) and failed miserably lol. It was cute though!!! Only complaint really is that this land should've been bigger. It's so cramped inside and the lines for the ride take up so much room. It was so crazy the lines were beginning to start near Peach's Castle! I think they need to do another expansion (Luigi's Mansion!!!) that'll add more breathing room to SNW overall.

Also bonus: I tried this hot chocolate banana sundae and it wasn't bad. I'm not a fan of hot drinks but I enjoyed everything on top of it. Mostly got it just for the mug!

What was your first-person impression of the interior "tunnel" scene that hasn't looked great in ride through video form?

Also, please tell me you also found time for JAWS!

They better bring this to the Epic version of the land, because my drinkware obsession requires it!

I honestly didn't even notice lol. The ride goes by so quickly and I was just so excited to be riding it that it didn't bother me. It's easier to critique and comment on this type of thing from a video online you can watch over and over but on the actual ride itself it doesn't matter since it's so quick imo.

Of course! I went to the park for 2 days and rode Jaws 3 times overall. When I went last year I rode Jaws 5 times so I've now ridden it 8 times. It's my favourite Universal ride ever tbh! I also ate at the Amity Landing restaurant yesterday and I'll be posting pictures and my review of that later.

Very nice pics

But is it more thrilling than Flight of the Hippogriff in Hollywood? ;)
