The problem isn't the building of a town. The problem is that Nintendo is not going to let you run HHN or any other event in their area non-related to Pokemon. Just like HP is pretty off limit beyond death eaters. At best, you might convince Nintendo to add some sort of Ghost Pokemon/Team Rocket thing, if you can convince them. However, I'm not sure if Nintendo will want to participate in the event.

Since you don’t understand I’ll explain. Lavender Town is a spooky part of the first generation games that involves scaling a tower that’s also a Pokémon graveyard where you first encounter ghost type Pokémon. Incorporate this into the HHN but make them more of playful spooks and play the music that I provided that video for. It may not be terror inducing but it WILL be popular among older fans.

And there's no guarantee that the IP holders will allow that lol

I think Nikem understood what you meant in saying that it's not as simple as having lore or literal inspiration from the IP line up i.e. 'Lavender Town isn't the problem' but because the larger idea of Nintendo probably not letting their characters mingle with HHN is valid. We don't have Minions & Simpsons mingling during HHN despite knowing/having seen that they'd work if they were allowed to/wanted to; The Halloween Costume Minions in USH/USJ and Treehouse of Horror.

Until we see King Boo take over any of the Nintendo lands at any of the parks during the Halloween season and fill it with Luigi's Mansion portraits and ghosts (a man can dream) it is a strong argument.

I’m still waiting for The Bottom of the Well or Shadow Temple from Zelda.

Potter has been the one IP consistently willing to incorporate seasonal events (Christmas, Halloween, Fanfest). I'd love to see Nintendo jump on board.

If Pokemon is coming to Lost Continent, what are the odds they keep the Sinbad theater and convert that to Pokemon Stadium?

Zero. It'd be a full tear down of everything, maybe sparing Mythos if they go the lighter re-theme route for that. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are like WB. They won't settle for their IP being shoehorned into existing facilities if it comes at the expense of accuracy or immersion.

Why did re-themes even come up? Even if it ended up as Zelda I would expect a full tear down.

I think it's easy to see this in terms of Merlinwood -> Hogsmeade. But you're probably right that it'll probably be closer to a Jaws -> Diagon.

They probably wouldn’t even reuse the Mythos kitchen like they did Enchanted Oak.

You're probably right. Isn't the rumor that they were thinking it would save them time/money to preserve the kitchen, but it ended up costing them more than just demolishing and building from scratch?

And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Nintendo the only land in Epic currently not featuring any type of holiday decorations? I know Celestial Park, Potter, Berk, and Dark Universe all have some form of decor, but Nintendo was the lone outlier last I heard.

Although Hollywood has decorations in their Nintendo Land, so I assume is coming either soon or next year.

You are correct about Orlando but SNW in Hollywood started including holiday decorations during its second Christmas season in 2024. So maybe they have to keep Epic’s as it for a year and decorate it next year. Also the SNW store in Celestial Park has holiday decorations which is interesting.

I believe Japan was the same where they skipped the first year for holiday decorations

Nintendo is a share holder in pokemon but pokemon is separate from Nintendo. Pokemon already is in an area not related to pokemon in japan at USJ (all pokemon events happen in the new york area).

While this is true, I think the sentiment would still extend to Pokémon. The Pokémon Company probably will not want their IP to be directly involved with the event.

I watched the Pokémon Halloween show at USJ last year and I didn’t catch a lick of it but it was a lot of fun. I don’t think The Pokémon Company is anti daytime Halloween event, but I think HHN would be a stretch.

For what it’s worth Seuss Landing and Hollywood’s Nintendo Land have done just fine during HHN when they were in parks that were running it. The rights holders just didn’t “participate.”
