Heard from my sources in production and creative, they are planning to now cancel this years event. Planning to announce it next Friday July 3rd With some type of video from the event management such as Blake along with Bill Davis and others to the public with refunding options, and explaining why this years event will be postponed to fall of 2021 for everyone’s safety. Also heard we will see a familiar face in the video with a fun message for next year (assuming jack). Really hoping it’s not true but my friends have heard it first hand, and currently they are just putting it all together on how they are going to release it to the public next week as professionally as possible. We will see and time will tell Within days.

Also hearing the parks will close July 5th. TMs got scheduled up until the 4th, and from people in marketing and ticketing, apparently the resort is going to see another shut down starting July 5th, but that announcement is supposed to come within the next day or 2... don’t know how accurate this one is, seems a bit far fetched especially cause Disney is still planning to open on the 11th

My SO has been scheduled for the week after that already.....so they’re going to need to start making some calls if that’s the truth lol

On the bright side I feel like most of the IPs this year would probably be easy to get for next year
Monsters universal owns
Billie eilish is universal
Haunting is Netflix and works with hhn often
Beetlejuice and Texas are the only ones I’m not sure on

They've had plenty of experience retro fitting houses pretty quickly
Scream > Purge
Werewolf > Silent Hill

So I'm not terribly worried they wouldn't just find something else

Or completely rebuild the house

Just want to apologize for my post and if it went out the wrong way to some. Personally I think the event is on. From house construction, to the tv spot filming and casting scareactors and also canceling the scareactor dining for “this years event”, it’s hard to say that the event will get canceled. My post was more informing everyone on the forums about what was told to me, doesn’t mean I believe it or think it is true. I thought one person bringing this up to me was rather interesting. Am I new to the forums? Yes. But what was said was not made up by me or even something I believe in. Nobody should be saying goodbye to the event. This year universal is fully relying on the event to happen. They would NOT be putting in this work for no purpose what so ever. Just want to say I’m on the side of most of you, until it’s confirmed HHN will come in the fall. And I cannot wait. And until I have more valid of a “source”, I won’t say things I hear from others. Sorry. Keep positive and know if Universal is open, so will HHN.
