Now I'm going opening day! I'm definitely scared about crowds, but I'm excited enough to go to an opening of a Universal attraction for the first time. Any predictions for how crowded it may be?

As I said they should be... the walls have come down/shifted a bit. Only 2 1/2 weeks until it officially grand opens.

Why the heck have my USH e-mails been coming through completely blank.  It seems regular USH e-mails come through fine, but my last several Annual Pass related e-mails have been just the subject line with a blank body.   Does anyone have a link to the current e-mail about RSVP Now for the Walking Dead Grand Opening?  Or are they e-mail specific to the person...

I got the RSVP but my pass is expired, when I put the pass number into the site it said it was valid.... I am guessing I would still need a working pass or day ticket to get into the park though. Still odd I am getting annual pass emails and that my pass number lets me do reservations even though my pass is expired.

My pass was a premium pass, that I wanted to replace, but I wont pay $500 it :(  they really messed the pass system up....

That happens when I use Windows mail and on my phone sometimes. Have you tried logging into a browser/different browser on a laptop?

Once again, I didn't get this email at all.  Not even in my spam folder. I also didn't get the email about adding an extra day in May.

"A year-round daytime experience"

Yes, APers, they really think that little of you. As if the lack of benefits wasn't proof enough.

Get your cameras ready. The facade is getting a "big surprise" (a.k.a. the crashed helicopter) in the next day or two.

I'll be there tomorrow, so I'll post if I see anything big happening.

I don't think i'm ready to see this train wreck ...helicopter crash.. I'm still curious to see the signage for the new attraction. I really really hope they don't seriously have it say "A year-round daytime experience" because sadly, I get the feeling they will

It'll appear overnight sometime this weekend. So... hooray!

I believe there are smoke effects that will eventually accompany it, can anyone confirm that?

I cant confirm that, but maybe someone else here hopefully can. I'm sure if Universal does choose to add smoke effects, it'll look phenomenal!

Something else that I'm kind of interested about is what the lighting for the crashed helicopter will be like. I'm not sure about you, but I would love to see some effect related/similar to the smoke lighting used inside Shrek 4D during the film.

So no helicopter yet, though it's definitely coming soon. Anyway, I took two photos of the signs that were added to the facade, but other than that, not much changed.

From Micechat, they are mentioning that from talking with John (as I believe there was a media walkthrough that may have occurred, can be wrong); the final piece to the exterior façade (AKA, the Chopper) will be installed on Monday night.

according to creative director of Universal Studios, John Murdy, the final exterior set piece will be installed Monday night.
