Well, I didn't get to attend any of the previews until today's soft opening.  For the record, the park opened at 8am, and The Walking Dead opened at 9am.  Went in immediately, and I'd say it has essentially no line at all until about 10:30.  Then it began to get long fast.

Left the park at 11am, and saw that the line to get in to the park through bag check was literally snaking all the way through CityWalk, including wrapping around Hard Rock and coming back towards Yogurtland!  Fortunately, they had it moving pretty fast.  As far as I could see, every bag check station was open, and the were even adding four additional ones off to the side.  Crazy!

Plus, we noticed they had the timed ticket Harry Potter entry machines all set up, as well as a queue for them.  Certainly seem prepared to use them.  If anyone else is there later today, it'd be interesting to see if they get used or not.

I was there as well. I was expecting a little bit more. Was definitely too short. I feel like it could be remedied a bit in the future though. The food truck room could maybe wrap around to make the maze a bit longer. I hate to say I'm actually a bit disappointed. I upgraded to Gold for the soft opening lol. Any who, HHN could be pretty cool. I saw a lot of potential walker spots. I will say the set design is very good though. Lots of detail. Bicycle girl was cool, and the use of humans was a cool twist too.

This is pretty much how I felt as well. The line was 30 minutes and I got here at noon.

So I know that I keep asking about this, but I checked the reservation ticket again for tomorrow and it said that the "event" begins at 9:00. Does this mean that I can't even get into the park until 9:00? Just was wondering because I'm totally stressing out over what time to get there tomorrow after the crazy wait times today.

^ For the Potter event, they let guests in early with an RSVP. Take that for what you will.

Is the RSVP like a front of the line pass for Walking Dead? Also does anyone know if front of the line passes can be used for it?

There is a Gate A line. Not sure if it's being put to use yet though.

So I finally went through this today! It was definitely really short, but the sets and animatronics looked really great! Hope to go through it another time without the people in front of me getting all of the scares! Overall, I think that it's a good minor attraction to have at the park.

No I didn't get to, but InsideUniversal did and posted it on their Twitter.

Not sure if it was addressed, but I chose today as my July passholder extra day.  Although the printout states 9am, it also states all day entry.  I was able to get in at 7am with the early entry peeps and enjoy WWHP and a frozen Butterbeer before leaving to join the queue for TWD at 8am.  No fanfare for the official opening.  The maze didn't start until almost 9am as advertised, but they had people wait in the inside queue until then.

Like others have said before, it's short, but it's well done, and I'm guessing the inside queue is considered part of the attraction itself.  I probably would have tried to go through it again today after hitting up everything in the Lower Lot, but it was still posting wait times of 60 - 90 minutes by the time I left around 10:30am.

For those have have been through it, is it better than House of Horrors?

^ I'd have to agree too. It's good, but not as good as the House of Horrors. The classic Universal monsters will almost always win for me.

If you just look at the maze by itself, no it's not. If you look at the overall attraction: exterior, queue, and maze, then yes, it's a huge upgrade.

The queue for this is awesome, easily the second best in the park. I think it's so well done, shame it's only for a maze.

The maze itself is of much higher quality than House of Horrors. Nothing in this feels temporary like in House of Horrors. The biggest knock on it is the attraction is just too damn short. Just when it gets good it ends. I really wish they could have figured out how to get a second level in this like House of Horrors.

Overall it's a great filler attraction.  I'm happy that it is in the park and it's 1000xs better than another "grab n go" or shop.

I agree with you that this queue is amazing and is the second best queue on property.

i here so many people say it's short, which is obviously true. But the bigger issue is this isn't scary, it still would've been short but if it was really scary, the length would only be an issue when you say I wish it wouldn't had ended instead of going that's it. There's so little scares and the ones that are there are lazy and poorly done. Did anyone actually get scared by this.
