I believe it may be a directional signpost... much like that found on the opposite end of Hogsmeade.

I don't doubt that it's a lamppost that has yet to be uncovered.

It'll be very difficult to fully obscure that wall by the standing stones; it's just too tall. I think we might have to brace for disappointment in this particular area.

I guess I am the only one that imagined the wood wall as a stable on the outskirts of town. Ok, so it is an 1870's American west stable... but you can't have everything. Too, what do the people of Hogsmeade need a stable for, short of hogs. Do hogs have stables?

Yes, unless they go hog wild. Then they're unstable.

And a hog that is unstable is a total boar...

From the same picture set, they are clearly still planting trees so maybe they'll continue to fill it out.

I'm starting to wish they had moved that one stone farther away from the building, because it really does look tacky sitting directly behind that sign.

Agreed, a nice buffer of pine trees would of really helped. But with limited space, what are you going to do? At least now the entrance to Hogsmede isn't so abrupt.

Does anyone know if they're still tinkering with the HP Forbidden Journey ride? During our visit it seemed like we were on our backs more than last October. That ride is still really intense. I don't feel any motion sickness on it anymore, but It would be tough to ride back to back.

It has been toned down quite a bit, especially in the film scenes, whomping willow scene feels better than before though ...

Yeah, Forbidden Journey has definitely been toned down. Which is unfortunate, because now a lot of the ride mechanics are more visible due to the slower motion. Of course, I think the motion sickness issue is already addressed sufficiently by the fans (which also create a nice wind effect), but if it keeps more people from complaining about the motion being too severe (realistic), I'll live with it.

Bottom line is if it keeps people from having motion sickness then they do not throw up on the belt. If they don't throw up on the belt then the ride doesn't have to go down. Not going down means better capacity and shorter lines.

I thought I was just looking around more, but on my last ride though I thought was seeing more extraneous stuff. Even an exit sign at one point. Interesting to hear that the modifications may be making things we're not supposed to see visible.
