Saw a picture earlier of the other side from that view. I didn't realise how close the HE entry archway is to the current path, I was under the impression it was set back.

^ Yeah, we have to parse a lot of wide angle vs. zoom shots on here. The wide angle can make a small patch look like an acre. A zoom can make widely spaced buildings appear to be 1' from each other. I believe it is 70mm that is closest to the human eye.

I REALLY like it. I love the trees and the look that they're going with for this area! Reminds me of the mountains! Dueling Dragons (ahem) looks perfect in the background with it!

What's with the big yellow fire hydrant in the middle of the landscaping?????
Would have been nice to have hidden it somehow.....just saying.

Agreed...this actually is the nicest thing Ive seen out of the new expansion so far (from pictures) seeing as Im not really into Harry Potter and dont get excited by any references to the books or movies. Itll be great when the trees start to grow in more later on and the foliage covers that wooden fence blocking off the back of Hogsmeade. Very nice!

I love this area! That little path may be used for people having to make a line to get into hogsmead. That way if there is a line for the HE, they can both be separated.

The area looks great. I love the forested feel, and (while I haven't seen it in person) I don't think the wood wall/fence looks bad at all. Of course ideally, the trees will grow to obscure it.

I don't know if it's just me, but the lamppost in the middle of the wooded area reminds me of The Chronicles of Narnia.

Love it! Such a lovely transitional area. The trees and ground would look incredible dusted with snow. Then that lamppost would really look like something out of Narnia :)

Had to catch up a couple pages in this thread, but I was thinking the same things about FJ. I've been going at least twice a month lately, and the last time I went was Tuesday. I noticed a lot of the actual ride components and was able to see the bench in front of us (and sometimes behind us) plenty of times. It was a disappointing ride in comparison to past experiences (although part of me loved seeing how it all works!).

Theres one in the middle of the grass outside Leicester Sq too. It's currently silver/grey, doesn't fit the theme but like you say, they probably can't change the regs!

There are hydrants all over both parks..they are very fun to find..the average guest will pay no attention to them..

I love the transition from LC to Hogsmede now..adds some greenery back to IOA which I feel was lacking a bit...can't wait till they grow in some
I think the fence is nice looking as well..

In that first pic, seeing the leaning chimneys of Hogsmeade towering up behind the trees really makes me smile.
