Don't expect THAT new item for some time. And expect certain HD case items to vanish. That is, if they haven't already.

Does that mean they'll be opening a pastry's shop to replace an under performing shop?

I recently had a new idea why a few might be getting so sick on this ride. First I went to the warning postings and saw that it doesn't mention that which I was concerned about.

The warning that this sign does not contain that is prevalent on Mission Space is to keep your head and eyes facing forward at all times. The reason of course is because turning ones head to the side will betray the direction that you thought you were going and in turn, really mess up your head. I believe that this may well be true on the bowl screens despite how slowly they might be moving sideways. Any amount would tend to screw with the brain.

Just a thought.

I was going to ask if anyone has any tips to avoid motion sickness, besides meds.

I wonder what's happening with the dragon. Last time I was there, it was up and was working entirely, at least to my knowledge.

It's 5.5 years old, has had nearly no downtime, and honestly had lost a bit of its articulation over the years. Hopefully it comes back completely up to speed

Does the Japan version have an animatronic dragon?

This is the only Japan POV that I could find and it isn't very good. The dragon appears to be the same but it is a blur.

Does the spider move on their version... I swear it appears to. Also, I had no idea that all the characters speak Japanese! How bizarre... Anyone see any other differences?

Thanks @Teebin. I was curious if the 3D conversion had anything to do with it. Must just have been an update.

The dragon was still missing today. I didn't see a tarp, they have some fake trees in front of where he should be.

I've been on the ride a lot, but I don't always trust my recollections. That said, some things I feel were slightly different:

The first flue powder transition had a burst of fog that was noticeably warm and misty. I also thought that there were either many more spiderwebs in the forbidden forest, or they've been lit differently to make them more noticable. The impression I got was that perhaps they were trying to cover some of the areas where you can look off-set. I also could have sworn I saw a new (or previously poorly lit) dementor or two.

This confirms my overall impressions of the attraction. I have never ever heard of an attraction being diddled with for so long... on and on they have been diddling with it... trying to make it better to little avail. That first tower room needs to be foreshadowing. It needs a high wind... bound papers blowing on desks... darkness and finally a bit of lightning and then the flight and encounter with the dragon on the dome screen. They just keep leaving it this floaty boring moment and I cannot understand why.

I remember a picture of the spider tunnel with the work lights on that made the set so creepy looking and declared then that it was how it should be lit.

Diddle diddle diddle, UC can be a piddle.

Wait wait wait... being fair. If JKR wrote the script for FJ, and the tower room is supposed to be tranquil, and WB draws that line in the sand, there is little UC will ever be able to do. And that sucks.

Perhaps this is why Gringotts is based on the actual movie and runs parallel to it. Wondering if UC chose that idea for a good reason; JKR couldn't crap it up with a new story that contained bad pacing for a themed attraction.

Is there evidence that JKR wrote the script for FJ? I have never heard that before. It would seem weird too since FJ treads on some of the HP mythology by treating us like muggles touring Hogwart's instead of just potential new students.

I was merely opening my mind to the possibility. FJ doesn't seem like a UC creation. Gringotts does. Just trying to explain the unexplainable.
