I concur regarding the great views of Hogwarts from Shrek queue. You should go. I don't hate Shrek, though. Actually I like the attraction better than the movie. I think John Lithgow's performance is brilliant, for example. Anyway, back to this forum's topic.

Is that castle roofing on Great Hall?

To be honest, the first time I went to Orlando, I couldn't even see the show building... But that's bc I wasn't going out looking for it.. In fact, afterwards I was so curious that I had to look at the venue on google earth to see how the attraction was done and from there I discovered the building. Hollywood however is a different situation due to the land being placed in the middle of the park and not the edge. No matter what, the show building will always be visible.. But I do agree on how universal should at least pain the parts of the building that do show.. Either way, I'm going to have a blast there

The sheer amount of scaffolding around Hogwarts is insane. I couldn't imagine going as high as the top of the scaffolding on the rightmost tower of the castle.

Nice to see the Owlery shaping up! I wonder if they'll be doing anything about the side of Shrek's show building that's half Duloc-themed and half unthemed, especially since it faces the area that will house the Triwizard Spirit Rally.

maybe some type of mural representing a forest or just taller trees..but whatever its is they need to do something about the surrounding buildings . so how are they going to cover waterworld?

The backside of Waterworld will be blocked out by Hagrid's Hut and the surrounding foliage (which are elevated from ground level in both Islands and Japan). The pyrotechnics however will be pretty much impossible to cover up. Let's just pretend its the Hungarian Horntail running amok...

they should have special audio play or special effects play around wizarding world at the exact same time the as the waterworld pyro goes on so it could at least sound like pyro or magic being performed in the back round

Japan has the new Orlando modifications. I expect ours to be the same. I don't like the green wall of nothing they added when they removed the projection of brick walls.

I just noticed something...compare this photo of our Hogsmeade construction compared to Orlando's on Google Maps. It looks like we're getting a whole new pathway to the right of the train station and the shade building and more shops, since we aren't getting the Dragon Challenge. I bet that's where the rumored shops from Diagon Alley will go.

The two new structures are primarily there to block out Shrek 4D. Chris mentioned before that the larger structure is located directly above where the old restrooms were so it will be interesting what they will end up being (aside from being visual elements). Personally I doubt they will be stores, don't seem big enough.

I have a feeling the structure up against the Shrek queue is our restroom building. Think about it... the pipelines under the ground were already located there from before. I don't think we will see restrooms next to Three Broomsticks. I think that space will be utilized by the multiple room experience of Ollivanders.

Lots of scaffolding. Plus there's something near the tower roof that I didn't notice in last week's photo. That large, brown triangular piece is probably a part of tower peak roof. That's a big piece. Or is it a tool of some kind?

On the lower backside of Forbidden Journey an external stairway is being installed. Emergency exit, I assume.
