I'm even willing to overlook the fact that the Peppermint Toad package said Universal Orlando on the back of it. I wonder how much of the HP merchandise will say Orlando on it.

The merchandise sold in Diagon Alley in USF is branded with "Universal Studios", so I'm guessing that all Potter products will be labeled the same from now on to represent all four Universal parks currently selling WWoHP merchandise.

So what are everyone's predictions on when we think all of the scaffolding will come down around Hogwarts?

It looks like it's fairly close to coming down and is really coming along rather quickly.  I would probably say later this month :)

I would say by the end of summer for sure. I don't know if I'd put my money on the end of this month, but on the other hand, they always seem to surprise us with how fast they can progress.

Looks like progress under all that scaffolding.  More metal up for the greenhouse, too.  Owlery looks untouched to me.

Just checked the "seasonal pass" page on Universal's website and it looks like the passes are now expiring February 11, 2016.  This may give us an idea that Potter could be opening in February of 2016, so maybe they are slightly ahead of their "Spring 2016" opening date :)

They changed it to February on new passes about a month or two ago. I think it'll open after March, once Costco passes expire as well.

I bought my pass a month back and my friend bought hers a couple days ago and hers expires in feb and mine expires end of December I believe

Also a side note, I went to the park the other day and wasn't sure if it was dirt or just not painted yet, but some of the snow on the Hogsmeade roof tops were super gross... Had brown skid marks all over them...

All of the rooftops are eventually cleaned after the snow is placed on them. If you see dirt on some of the snowy rooftops, those structures likely came out of scaffolding more recently than others.

I see what you're saying William. I also noticed Orlandos snow is covered in glitter and I haven't been able to notice this in Hollywood yet

I have noticed they were glittering snow and some of these buildings have been out of scaffolding for a while already.  I think LA's dirty, polluted air is more to blame than the construction itself.

The final layer of crystalline snow will be applied later, brushed on my hand if I'm not mistaken.  Here are a couple shots showing a small portion already done (top right of frame).

Taken June 27, 2015.  Sorry about the bad quality of this one.

The 'final' snow in second photo is center not right.

^ Oh wow that looks bad. How are they going to keep that clean on a regular basis?

I see a difference now! Thanks for the photos. It will be interesting to see how often maintenance is required for the rooftops after opening day. For being 5 years old, Orlando's looked pretty fresh to me but I'm not sure if they have regularly based power wash procedures..

I'm hoping since our park is right next to Warner Bros they will have a better relationship with them than the Orlando park and maybe they will allow us to use the Wizarding World for HHN. Like if they had Death Eaters walking around trying to recruit people and maybe decorate the streets of Hogsmeade with Halloween decor and what not. I don't know, just a thought.

JK would never allow that. She and her estate would go after Universal if they tried to do that.

Oh I had always heard that WB was the one that wouldn't allow it but JK was ok with it as long as it was themed towards her Potter-verse (such as the Death Eaters and not just random zombies or something). I may have heard incorrectly though.
