If we did get a forest it would interesting if they set speakers around the areas so people would here noises of a hippogriff, or a centaur, or any other creature that is in the forest as they walked by. (sorry I don't know much about HP books only movies).

This would be an ideal spot for the Ford Anglia photo op, as well.

That's a great idea, I had a similar idea a few pages back where I mentioned that adding more creatures in a Forbidden Forest setting would be fantastic.

The one thing that the other Universal parks have that we don't is space. One thing that made it quite magical for me in Orlando is when you have to walk through an array of tall Potter-esque trees that unravel the land slowly (coming from Jurassic land side of the park).. it just makes the land look so much more dramatic. I also know this exists in japan as well. But unfortunately, our Potter enterance can be seen from behind the gate before you even enter the park and just seems a little squished... I feel like some magic is taken away and there is no suspense leading up to it...

...I can't believe i'm saying this but; That's what makes this unique. A lot of people want to have the suspense till they get to the land and marvel. Your right, we don't have that much space as the others but that's what it also makes it special. It makes the park go to the extra mile and to make sure its not seen from locations that normally wouldn't fit for Orlando or Japan. I'm excited not just for the Suspense as no matter what; it'll be amazing to see the Castle from that freeway and to enhance the anticipation to go into Hogsmeade and drink a Butterbeer with going into Hogwarts. Its just more or less on how you incorporate it and they've done a bang up job making sure this park work with potter, even with the Capacity problems.

Yeah I understand.. our park is more unique than the others... I am also very frightful of the FB showbuilding for it is completely visible from the Studio Tour bridge and has access for guests behind it... but also im sure that the view will be fine as long as you're inside the land with very little to no show building visible.

Yes, the FJ showbuilding will be visible on the studio tour bridge. But that is what makes it unique. USH is a movie studio and leaving the showbuildings barren on one side gives the guests a movie studio feel. And one thing that comes with that is reminding guests that their experiences are an illusion.

Although I agree with what you're saying, I personally love visiting theme park lands because they're fully immersive. It's like you're actually in Hogsmeade or inside Hogwarts... I dont pay $100+ to see how illusions work inside a costco warehouse.. I come to visit a magical land that has been trapped inside my childhood imagination and has finally come to life.

Which no matter what, will happen. But think of this on two angles, one angle you got the Studio which has to show the Practicality of Movie Magic. Prices are made with this and I'm going to bring this up once, Transformers is this. Sure, it looks like a Walmart advertisement poster for Transformers but inside its sometime else. Movie Magic isn't always on the outside and with immersing you into a land full of Magic, Wizards, and what-not. You're bound to get hit by Practical situations. Its not Disney where they can hide the Practical situations to facing the Anaheim Convention Center; its Universal. And Universal has prided on itself for this park on showing Backstage. I will say this, expect trees to pop up more in the area so it can hopefully grow and block out the Building As it faces the bridge.

There's no doubt that they wedged WWoHP into our park, but they found a way to make the most out of it. Had the land been placed in a different location somehow, we might not have the superior Springfield that we'll soon be able to experience. We may not get the grand pathway leading into the land that builds up all of the suspense, but guests will still feel that when they walk down the main path and see the chimneys of Hogsmeade in the distance. Immersion won't be an issue - when you're in the land itself, the rest of the park seemingly disappears.

Also, there's really no way they could've hid the Forbidden Journey show building from Studio Tour guests. We can clearly see the show buildings to Minion Mayhem and The Simpsons as well, but that hasn't necessarily broken the immersion within their respective lands. FJ's show building is so massive that neither Japan nor Florida could mask it completely.

Island's of Adventure's WW isn't that different. One second you're in Jurassic Park and the next you're in Hogsmead. It's just not as harsh of a transition becuase both Lands have a ton of foliage. Really only Japan does a great job of hiding the land from the rest of USJ. It's not a problem in my eyes honestly. I mean Hollywood is going to great lengths to conceal WW from the rest of the park, from new buildings within Hogsmead, a new Forest queue for Shrek and of course the massive Façade for Springfield.

Hmm yes I see now.. I never saw the whole Walmart building in that sense... I always thought it was due to costs and them being lazy.. But I understand now.. Either way, the land will be amazing...

Totally agree with you. My only wishes with the FJ show building is that you don't see it from within the land (you can see a part of it walking up to Hogwarts in USJ) and that they completely covered the side of the show building with the faux brick work they did that will line the Greenhouse.

I hate when USH gets lazy. For things that are inevitable, I don't mind, because USH is unique. I only have an issue when they don't go all the way on something that could've been more impressive, small size of the park or not.

I think it's super impressive how they're fitting WWoHP into our park, it's a personal dream come true since I was little, and how often does that happen?

Universal just updated their Annual Pass Blackout calendar page.   Most AP calendars only go through December, however the very last calendar goes through March 2016:

Blackout.jpg

Ive included March and April 2015 for you to compare.

Keep in mind the bulk of March 2016 blackout days start the very next day after the $79 CostCo Season Passes expire.

I think we may have a possible opening or soft opening date for Potter!

It seems possible for potter to soft open around spring. Like, around Mid March through April.  I imagine it will officially open in May 2016.

We ran into some people coming out of the employment office. They just got hired for Potter. Said is was "suggested" that they were going to start running the ride in July. I had previously heard USH was considering some unannounced public rides as soon a Nov/Dec.
