The dragon has yet to be seen. People saw the branches of the Whomping Willow and assumed it was the head of the dragon (which I still don't quite understand). The Whomping Willow is visible now because it's the largest element of the attraction.

Smaller pieces like the dragon and Dementors may not be seen until we're on the ride in 2016. It's very rare to see the work going on inside the building this far into the project, and it's only possible because the back of the yet-to-be-covered show building is facing toward the general public.

Ah, gotcha.  All makes sense.  They really still haven't covered up part of the back of the showbuilding?  Although I guess they still have the Hogwarts facade to cover that too.

I can imagine at least some stuff is now in the showbuilding, but probably not most of the props yet.  It's honestly a good thing we won't be able to see it until the ride's close to opening

Yeah, LOTS of progress has been made, especially on the Hogsmeade in the last couple months!  The scenery for the Hogsmeade buildings is really coming up now, just check the latest update!

Hi everyone!! 

I'm new to the forum and really excited to post. I've been following USH and InsideUniversal.net every since my friend got me interested in 2014! 

Anyways, I wonder what Universal will do for an opening ceremony for WWOHP. Maybe they will bring Daniel Radcliffe and the others? What type of show will they plan?

What do you guys think?

These actors are English so it makes no difference. Expect Rupert at the very most. No Dan and maybe Emma will grace us with her presence if she's not busy.

I mentioned this to William on Twitter but I was wondering if anyone else noticed the two structures to the right of the Dragon Challenge arch are not in Florida or Japan's version? (The ones closest to Shrek 4D and covering the side of the Owlery)

Yeah, it's super hard to get the main trio. Rupert is relatively easy to get, but the 3 haven't attended any of the recent Potter openings in Orlando or Japan. It'd be nice to see them attend the opening in Hollywood, but I doubt it.

We'll definitely see some of the supporting stars though.

Rupert Grint was more involved in Potter events after the films ended, but now it seems Evanna Lynch (Luna) and the Phelps twins (Fred & George) are included in nearly everything. I'd expect the latter actors at the least, and possibly a main star or two.

Back to what Zero was saying, it seems we've found the first difference in our iteration of Hogsmeade. If you're standing between Universal Plaza and Shrek 4D looking towards Hogsmeade, you may see the "entrance" for Dragon Challenge being worked on. To the right of that are the two structures that look pretty much complete. However, those structures aren't present in Japan or Florida. Extra shops? Expanded shops? Anyone have any ideas?

Tom Felton was also at both the Diagon Alley Preview and at the Potter opening at USJ.  He's mad involved and seems like a super nice guy

I would love to see a bigger and grander Studio Tour arch. The previous one was so much better in my opinion.


I personally don't care where the tour would be. As long as it gets a grand new entrance and look.
